I've been slowly smoking from a March '07 box, and have previously posted some brief thoughts. Recently smoking another, I'd like to give

kudos and thanks to all who've been involved with producing them. Consistent in quality and flavor - cedar core, wrapped in light sweet cream,

with a layer of fruit on top. A few grassy notes, and darker near the end, I still think they're maturing a bit, but love them right now - enough

that there's another box in storage

For those who enjoy the profile, or who haven't given them a try, it couldn't hurt to give them a shot. I put them right up there with the Upmann

Sir Winston and Bolivar Corona Gigantes for personal enjoyment.

Thanks for the tasting notes, Colt. Well explained.

These have been off of my radar for a while now (as has most of the HDM lineup). But, with a bit of a resurgence lately, I find myself grabbing a number of Hoyo's here and there.

The flavour profile you describe has definitely got me intrigued. I'll have to look at these again now. Thanks for making me drool!!! :o

There is so much variation in HDM Churchills that I am loathe to give them a ringing across the board endorsement. I knw the cigars colt is talking about and he is spot on in his description. If only they were all that good!

Very good HDM Churchills are a unique treat. In the selection process they have to meet certain qualities regarding wrapper, construction and importantly, aroma at cold.
