Let me down this year? How about the past 3 years?

 Montecristo #2. Out of five I had, one was enjoyable. The others? Plugged, bland, bitter just....rubbage. :cigar:

Opus X Power Ranger. For a premium $$ cigar, what a bunch of friggin hype. Was bland, boring and unassuming. I'd rather have a JLP.

***The Graycliff Chateau Gran Cru. What a bland piece of OVERPRICED disappointment!

Montecristo #5. A single with a very nice, smooth wrapper and perfect appearance that had a couple of months to rest in the humidor really disappointed me when lighting it up. Very tight draw, erratic burn and harsh flavours if any discernible.

I had three top picks, so three failures:

1. Siglo I 07 (such a travesty) tastes and burns like charcoal - the darkest black ash I have seen with a crappy burn. I should just toss them in the fire.

2. Punch Punch 07 - cardboard

3. RJ Short Churchill 07 - totally "meh"

Upmann Mag 48. Can't stand these.

After reading all the praise, I was disappointed after trying my first SCDLH El Principe earlier this year. The draw was tight, but even more disappointing was the flavor. It had a kind of bite similar to an extra sharp cheddar. I love cheese, but it was an awful flavor to get from a cigar IMO. I didn't like the La Fuerza I tried either...

I never snub a cigar based on 1 stick, but my first dive into the San Cristobal marca wasn't promising.

I would have to say the most common disappointer would also be the RASS. I gifted virtually the whole box. I left about three for myself and ironically, two of the three were actually pretty good. Nevertheless, still wins the top spot for the biggest failure in 2010.

For me, definitely RASS. Have only tried two, both of them very underwhelming.

I've had a RASS that was exceptional, but the RASCC has really let me down! I've had three or four this year, all bland with a terrible burn. I love other RAs that have hit the spot, just these have been a complete miss for me.

Mine would have to be:

Partagas Especiales ELs.

HDM Le Hoyo Des Deux

SLR Regios (These are horrid)

Mine is the Monte 2 as well. I have smoked three from an October 09 box, and all three have been very, very tight. One was completely plugged, and one opened up after the halfway point to the point that it was somewhat enjoyable.

With all the good reviews of the late 09 M2s, I thought I was the only one with duds.

I had my first La Fuerza recently, a stick about ten years old. It was ghastly; bitter on the lips and I can't even begin to describe the revolting taste! :D:thumbsdwn:

I hate to bag on any cigar without smoking at least a box full. (or at least trying to.)

So...

My two failures of 2010...

RASS 08 (rash and unpleasant)

CORO 10 (where's the flavor?)

hopefully I'll find them next time around. ;)
