Just thinking out loud!

I own a cigar factory... Well, better put, a country full of them. A lot of my people are out of work. My socio economic structure is a bit of a train wreck, but WTF, I still have steak for dinner!!!

I have noticed something uncanny in one of my factories the other day. I noticed that I have a lot of moulds in certain sizes! I was wondering if the manager ordered them by mistake and perhaps I should arrest him, but then again they look pretty well used. Not used today I mean because our warehouse is full and since I am not selling as many cigars as I would like, I was thinking of raising prices because the rich don't pay their fair share!

I began to wonder what I could do with some of the tobacco, moulds and boxes. I could fill them with sugar... no that would not work so well. How about nickel? No the Chinese prefer it by the ton!!!

I wonder if I were to fill these boxes with cigars... no they are not selling! I wonder if I filled them with some of the cigars that we used to make. I mean it is risky and all. I used to like to smoke the Partagas Petit Coronas. And I liked the RA PC too. I never really thought about it but they actually fit in the same boxes as those we put Bolivars in and the PL PC's. That was a pretty good idea... I mean to make all the cigars the same, so they fit in the same boxes. I think we got that idea from Mao. I mean he made all his people the same size so they can fit all those green suits they had made and that worked out.

But those crooks over in marketing said they did not sell. Yeah, still don't know what to do with them. I can't banish them from the island, last time I did that they started their own cigar factories in other parts of the world. I think that I put that in the book of bad ideas! I seem to recall one of these cigars that we cancelled and brought back. Yes... yes we did do that! We saw we had made a mistake and we started to make the cigars again. Yes, here it is; the PLPC and it is quite popular. I wonder if they ever thought about putting one of these other PC's in these boxes??? What would Stalin do? No, firing squads are out, bullets cost money!!! I am beginning to wonder what I ever saw in Stalin! There is something wrong with bald people!

Maybe I should have a chat with my brother. That is if I can catch him when he is not watching UTube videos! It always makes him feel good to see those crazy Aussies smoking his cigars. He writes his own subtitles for the videos and laughs his ass off. I have gotta' do something about him and that rum!

Why would they want to reintroduce a Petite Corona or sub 50rg cigar when they can churn out petite robustos, slap a second band on them, and sell them for a song? That's what the masses want after all, the Czar's own data proves we are buying robustos, not laguito no. 2's. Its a small circle of cigar elitists that want a thin ring gauge cigar with some flavor, and most of them are old farts on a fixed income with custom built cigar humidors filled with decades worth of discontinued cigars.

If you want more thin ring gauge cigars, vote with your wallet and buy the few vitolas that are still out there. Or you could start calling for a tax to be levied on all robusto, limited editions, and regional release sales to subsidize the production of great cigars that sadly don't sell in large enough quantities to justify their production.

Oh, and by the way, Stalin had an enviable head of hair. Power in the Kremlin is always transfered from the bald to the hirsute; Lenin (bald), Stalin (hair) Krushchev (bald), etc. This tradition continues today; Yeltsin (hair), Putin (bald), Medvedev (hair).
