CBL Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 1. Do you have Outback Steakhouses?2. If not, do you have Bloomin Onions? :D GREAT questions! I'm also very interested in the answers
Warren Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Yes apparently we do in a few locations. Campbelltown North Strathfield Parklea Wentworthville Wollongong And now open in Penrith. I was always amused to see them in the US I see that Mens Health magazine condemned Outbacks Aussie Cheese Fries as "The worst food in America " I just googled Bloomin union and it gave me heart burn. I want to live a little longer so I might stay away the place. I once stayed with some girls in Sarasota Florida who were very proud of their local Aussie bar. They took me there and the only thing resembling anything Aussie in the place was me.
MoneyPit Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 . I've asked Bster the same question about Outback. He also suggested avoiding the Foster's beer as well!
Warren Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 . I've asked Bster the same question about Outback. He also suggested avoiding the Foster's beer as well! The only reason we have Fosters is to keep the tourists away from the good stuff.
rdb6 Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 . I've asked Bster the same question about Outback. He also suggested avoiding the Foster's beer as well! OK if Fosters is garbage, please inform us as to best you have to offer.
samb Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 They took me there and the only thing resembling anything Aussie in the place was me. They didnt have fosters?
Warren Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 You've just given me an idea. What if we start a beer tasting website. We could get a lot of brewers together and talk about beer and then have tastings all day long. I even have a name for it. We could call it. Chunderbucket .com.au

Chunderbucket .com.au Only 'Outback' franchise places i have seen were overseas lol. Also, you very rarely see fosters around the place. rdb6, i think the USA leads the way in good beer (NOT bud and miller) but of the beers widely available here (not sure if you can find them overseas) i like Little Creatures, James Squire, and Boags. orrrr you can just find some red can, a west oz special

"It helps us get through uni." Reminds me of getting a 12 pack of PBR for 6 USD and there was a 5 USD mail-in rebate on the box.
El Presidente Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 1. Do you have Outback Steakhouses?2. If not, do you have Bloomin Onions? I have never seen an "Outback Restaurant" in this country albeit some are listed on the web. I have no idea what "Bloomin Onions" are As for beers, "Fosters" is predominantly an Aussie Export brand these days brewed overseas. i don't know anyone who drinks fosters here. Bster/Brendan is our resident beer expert so he can pipe up in relation to our best. I have no idea. Warren...Chunderbucket.com.au All yours mate! One man can only turn so many vice's into a business!
asmith Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 I've never seen and Outback restaurant in Australia.
Fuzz Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 1. Do you have Outback Steakhouses?2. If not, do you have Bloomin Onions? Yes we do on both counts. The Parklea joint is right next to a petrol station and a Hungry Jacks (Burger King for you Yanks), about 5 minutes from where I live. Not a bad place to eat, if you just want to eat. If you're looking for a gourmet experience, go elsewhere. Here's a pic of the Bloomin' Onions.

I kinda disagree Fuzz I've had some superb steaks at Outback. Throw in half a dozen 'big boy' James Squire Golden Ales and I'm a big fan of the joint
Fuzz Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 I kinda disagree Fuzz I've had some superb steaks at Outback. Throw in half a dozen 'big boy' James Squire Golden Ales and I'm a big fan of the joint I must be unlucky. I've yet to have one steak cooked to order. I tend to go to the Hog's Breath Cafe for steak. The one in Castle Towers is pretty good and the waitresses are cute too!
