prshah25 Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 Folks, this is my very first review... Smoked an Opus X Lost city this weekend... Here are my thoughts: Construction - dark wrapper and a very tight roll. Pre-light draw - cinnamon and woody. First Third - Light toasted tobacco and a hint of dark coffee. Medium -full bodied... Second Third - full bodied and a little cinnamon and woodiness with some chocolate and spice begin to develop. Extremely white ash. Third Third - Full bodied and the spice kicks in full throttle. Overall Conclusion: This cigar was one of the most anticipated cigars in 2009. It has about 5 years of age on them. I was a little disspointed as it was far off from a regular opus X. Flavors were muted and the price I paid was not justifiable. I would rate it a solid 90.
LeafLover Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 My Lost City stogies just sitting in my NC desktop. Constantly getting overlooked. Even forget how they taste.
thechenman Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 Like leaflover, my Lost City cigars are buried in my Opux Humidor. Will have to dig them out and give them a smoke soon. Thanks for th review.
Leopolis Semper Fidelis Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 The only nice thing about the over-hyped, over-priced OpusX is the band.
