anacostiakat Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 Has anyone heard his latest rant? Latest rant! Is he Or drunk/drugged out of his friggin mind?Or both?
MontrealRon Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 Being of Jewish origin, and an atheist by conviction, I don't have much sympathy for someone who is both a religious fanatic, and an anti-semite to boot. Still, there are two sides to this story, and I smell a set-up here. We all know that there is never a valid reason for a man to subject a woman to physical violence; yet it is entirely possible, especially for a guy with more brawn than brain, not to mention fame and MONEY, to get himself into a relationship with a master manipulator, who knows exactly which buttons to push to send him right over the edge.
cigarros Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 I hate everything associated with the prefix anti. Anti-communists, anti-semites. Mel seems to flash with a strange game. It doesn't bring good))) He's a fine actor, but no showman. I have many friends on the nationality of the Jews I hate to hear when someone responds to my friends the bad things even Mel Gibson((((
Disburden Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 How about if someone is a piece of **** that's just what they are, they may not be crazy, just a piece of crap that likes to hit women. Now I don't know if that's true, I honestly don't know the guy so I wouldn't know, but from the tape I heard it seems like he's history in Hollywood. Being Atheist I won't say anything about his recent movies.

Yes. Of course. I would argue that one can be both fecal and insane....but I am a strong proponent of free will, except in the most extreme psychiatric circumstances. I don't think being a theist (or not) should preclude one from seeing his films. His last couple of controversial works are interesting in many ways, though admittedly probably not for the reasons Gibson intended. Tangent (with due respect)..... Atheism is as difficult to defend by strict logic as theism.
Wiley Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 He's an idiot and a horrible embarrassment to those of us who are Christian.
Warren Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 There is no doubt that Mal is in need of some serious help in dealing with his anger issues but I would be extremely surprised if it was unprovoked. I think it's very sad.
laficion Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 Sad, very sad There has been so many souls eaten up by Hollywood
anacostiakat Posted July 13, 2010 Author Posted July 13, 2010 Sad, very sad There has been so many souls eaten up by Hollywood I don't think Hollywood has much to do with this one.
LeafLover Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 Mel Gibson, the actor, is cool. As for Mel Gibson, the person......well. If all this is true, don't know if I woild want to smoke a cigar with him. Then again, I'm the type of person to give anyone the benefit of the doubt.. N
Disburden Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 After that picture all is forgiven ! Lol. How about this one...
MIKA27 Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 I like many enjoy the 'actor' compared to the 'person'. Alot of people tend to think that what and who they see in a movie is one and the same, as we all know, they are not. Tom Crusie also springs to mind, I enjoy his action movies but dislike the 'person' as such. Mel Gibson clearly has alcohol addiction, anger issues and is overly religious which I believe also contributes to his mannerisms. There is nothing wrong with religion, I am Roman Catholic, however I wouldn't say I'm a fanatic and hardly ever go to Church. I certainly haven't built a church on my property which is what Mel has done at the back of his mansion.
jquest63 Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 "From the deepest desires often come the deadliest hate." Socrates Hope that Mel doesn't end up hurting himself or anyone else and instead finds peace. This eerily brings OJ Simpson to mind.
OZCUBAN Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 The guy is an absolute F$#k wit always has been always will be and his acting skills are akin to his personal ones
Fuzz Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 Oh c'mon. Mel's just misunderstood... true, he's nuttier than a crate of extra crunchy peanut butter and shouldn't be let out into public. Then again, how else do you get mentioned in the tabloids with the likes of Lohan and Hilton running around?
mm12 Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 Payback is a good flick. If you haven't seen it yet, you should check out the original version version from the 60's starring Lee Marvin. It's called Point Blank. Great flick.

I agree, the Lee Marvin version was alot better, however, the Mel Gibson version was also pretty good. Another flick I liked was Conspiracy theory which also starred Patrick Stewart (The bad guy). The only let down was 'Horse face" Julia Roberts.
El Presidente Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 You need to be slightly mad to achieve what he has achieved Just another classic case of a "celebrity" who shouldn't be used as a role model. Just everyday numbnuts with money. I had a good discussion about Mel over breakfast with the lads this morning (poached eggs, spinach, crispy bacon on multigrain toast, no butter ...my regular ). The conclusion was that he needs some mates. The type of mates who say...Whoooooa Mel....what the F*** are you doing!!!!! "Flick the cow...pay out the $50m and shut the F*** up! That will leave him with a couple of hundred squillion. He needs to find some balance in his head, go fishing, down some wine and cigars, get off the hooch, prescribed meds and have a laugh.
