MIKA27 Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 UK gunman updates his Facebook with hitlist Source: ninemsn.com.au A gunman on the run from UK authorities has posted a hitlist of targets on his Facebook page. Fugitive Raoul Thomas Moat, 37, allegedly shot his ex-girlfriend, killed her new partner and then shot a policeman. Moat has vowed to kill the family of ex-girlfriend Samantha Stobbart, who remains in a critical condition in hospital, and gun down any police officers that get in his way, the The Sun reports. After Moat was released from a short stint in jail last Thursday he went on a rampage, twice blasting 22-year-old Stobbart with a shotgun in Gateshead in England's north-east, before fatally shooting her new partner Chris Brown, 29. Less than 24 hours later he shot and seriously wounded unarmed policeman David Rathband who was sitting in his patrol car, before reportedly calling police to taunt them. Ms Stobbart's sister said she had been told by people who can see Moat's Facebook page that there was a hitlist. "I'm on it and so are family members — he's said he will take out any police that get in his way," Kelly Stobbart told The Sun. "I'm absolutely petrified because I haven't got police protection and he's angry with me and my family." Moat had been released from a two-month stretch in Durham jail for physically assaulting a child. Police also have a long handwritten note from Moat, in which he vowed to keep killing police until he was dead. "I am a killer and a maniac but I ain't no coward," Moat wrote in the 49-page letter. Police have appealed for Moat to give himself up, saying he does have a future if he turns himself in immediately. MIKA: This bloke seems to be a real psycho. MIKA27 Posted July 6, 2010 Author Posted July 6, 2010 Egyptian farmer calls two-headed calf 'a miracle' Source: usatoday.com CAIRO (AP) — A farmer in northern Egypt says his cow has given birth to a two-headed calf that he calls a "divine miracle." Sobhy el-Ganzoury said Saturday it took two hours and much pulling to deliver the rare calf. He said the difficult birth has weakened the calf's legs. El-Ganzoury said the veterinarian informed him that the calf, which was born this week, is now in stable condition and is expected to survive. He said he intends to keep the animal as a reminder that "God is able to do anything." The calf still can't stand up because of its heavy heads and weak legs, and is being fed her mother's milk with a baby bottle.
MIKA27 Posted July 6, 2010 Author Posted July 6, 2010 Colombian cops find World Cup made of cocaine BOGOTA, Colombia (AP) — Fans worldwide have fashioned replicas of the World Cup trophy out of everything from papier-mache to plastic. But a lawbreaker in Colombia gets top prize for most original material: cocaine. Airports anti-drug chief Col. Jose Piedrahita says that Colombian authorities found the unusual statue during a routine security check by anti-drug agents Friday in a mail warehouse at Bogota's international airport. The 36-centimeter-high (14-inch-high) statue was inside a box headed for Madrid, Spain. The statue was painted gold with green stripes on the base. Piedrahita said Saturday that laboratory tests confirmed the cup was made of 11 kilos (24 pounds) of cocaine mixed with acetone or gasoline to make it moldable.
sloth Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 Minor injuries after farm truck pulls in front of state trooper By Dan Swanson Nebraska City News Press Posted Jun 30, 2010 @ 11:36 AM Last update Jun 30, 2010 @ 01:32 PM Nebraska City, Neb. — The Otoe County Sheriff’s Office reported minor injuries after a farm truck pulled onto Highway 2 in the path of a Nebraska state trooper. Investigators say a 13-year-old Papillion girl was driving a pickup truck behind a tractor driven by her relative. The tractor made it across the eastbound lanes of Highway 2 a mile west of Syracuse, but the pickup truck entered the highway in front of oncoming traffic. Chief Deputy Mike Holland said State Trooper Kyle Gress braked about 100 feet before the collision and veered his vehicle to the opposite direction of the pickup. The cruiser slammed into the driver’s side of the pickup, however, forcing the car’s bumper below the truck and driving its tire into the highway pavement. The trooper and the girl were taken to Syracuse Community Memorial Hospital. A dog riding in carrier in the back of the truck bed was uninjured. Sheriff deputies say the girl failed to yield right of way while crossing the highway at Road 28. ----------- Sloth: I drive on this road once or twice a week. It connects my home to the state capital, Lincoln, which is where my cigar store of choice is harbored. I once had a pickup cross the road in front of me that was dragging a 10-15 tree trunk with a jog chain. Because deer, raccoons, possums, and skunks are not enough to worry about. In the defense of the 13 year old girl... that state trooper was probably going at least 90mph.
MIKA27 Posted July 6, 2010 Author Posted July 6, 2010 Tourists get ready for simulated kidnapping Source: news.com.au This is the creepiest, weirdest business idea I have ever seen — paying to be “kidnapped”: Extreme sports such as bungee-jumping from the Macau Tower may well be enough to satisfy the adrenaline needs of the majority of premium thrill-seekers. Those still wishing for more, however, have a new alternative: they can pay to be kidnapped, without warning, by French Ultime Réalité “Kidnapping”, “Manhunt” and “Go-Fast Adventure” are all among the standard services Ultime Réalité offers, but it’s open to special requests. Through the company’s simulated kidnapping packages, for instance, the participant is abducted without warning—after leaving a restaurant, say, or in the supermarket parking lot. Paying “victims” are then bound, gagged and imprisoned for four or 10 hours (depending on the scenario they choose), allowing them to experience the terror of the real thing. Additional elements such as ransom, escapes and helicopter chases can also be involved. Manhunt packages, meanwhile, can last either one or two days, with the option to play the role of either hunter or prey. Then there’s the Go-Fast Adventure, where participants take the role of a drug dealer smuggling cargo on the high seas. Finally, a recently added “extreme” package allows clients to wake up on an autopsy table in a morgue, surrounded by corpses and body bags. Pricing on a basic kidnap package is EUR 900. Just a few weeks into its launch, Ultime Réalité was already getting as many as two requests per day, according to Reuters primarily from top-level executives seeking an extreme-sports alternative. MIKA: This kind of reminds me of the Michael Douglas movie: "THE GAME"
Kangaroo495 Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 Blood Dripping From Ceiling Leads to Arrest in Quadruple Slaying Shoddy architecture and plumbing in Russia occasionally leads to gruesome discoveries. I’ve previously written about two cases in which killers hacked up their victims and flushed them down the toilet, only to have stunned neighbors call police when their bathrooms overflowed with bloody water peppered with chunks of human flesh. But it was the flooring, not the pipes, that led to the arrest this week of a Sverdlovsk region man suspected of slashing four friends to death while they were passed out following a drinking binge. On the afternoon of June 17, residents of an apartment building in the city of Pervouralsk called police and reported that blood was dripping from the ceiling of one of the apartments, Komsomolskaya Pravda reported. Police arrived at the scene and entered the apartment from which the blood was presumably leaking. There they found the bodies of three men and one woman, all of whom had their throats slashed. The victims included the apartment’s 57-year-old owner, his 24-year-old son, their 64-year-old friend and an unidentified woman aged 30 to 35, regional investigators said in a statement. Investigators made quick work of the case, tracking down and arresting a 24-year-old unemployed man early the following morning, the statement said. The suspect, who lived in the building, claimed that he killed the foursome following a drunken argument, regional Investigative Committee spokesman Alexander Shulga told KP. If convicted, he faces up to life in prison.
Kangaroo495 Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 Russian Policeman Kills Himself Scratching... An armed 23 year old policeman in Moscow fell victim of his own carelessness. He decided to scratch an itchy spot on his nose with a gun and accidentally killed himself, the Moskovsky Komsomolets reports. The tragedy happened in the court security facility. At 6pm the officer’s supervisor tried to connect with him over the phone to check on him. The sergeant did not answer his phone and the supervisor had to go see him with other officers. The police found a locked door they had to break and the body of their colleague behind the door. The policeman’s body with a wound in the head was found under the desk. The investigation ruled out a murder. There was no note that would indicate suicide. The victim had been serving in police since 2007. He was single and was not registered with the staff psychologist. He was reported to be in good spirits on the day of the accident. The sergeant allegedly scratched his nose with his gun and accidentally pulled the trigger.
Kangaroo495 Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 Woman kills husband with folding couch ST PETERSBURG (Reuters) - A Russian woman in St Petersburg killed her drunk husband with a folding couch, Russian media reported on Wednesday. St Petersburg's Channel Five said the man's wife, upset with her husband for being drunk and refusing to get up, kicked a handle after an argument, activating a mechanism that folds the couch up against a wall. The couch, which doubles as a bed, folds up automatically in order to save space. The man fell between the mattress and the back of the couch, Channel Five quoted emergency workers as saying. The woman then walked out of the room and returned three hours later to check on what she thought was an unusually quiet sleeping husband. Police refused to comment. The St Petersburg Emergency Services Ministry said a private rescue service removed the man's body.

MIKA27 Posted July 7, 2010 Author Posted July 7, 2010 Pornographic movie shot in a closed but equipped public hospital ward Source: dailytelegraph.com.au A "BIG budget" pornographic movie was shot in a public hospital that hired out one of its wards to a film company. The movie also ended up generating "substantial income" for the hospital, an MP revealed. Speaking in the House of Commons in London, Conservative MP Penny Mordaunt said: "When I was director of Kensington and Chelsea Council, I discovered that one of our local hospitals was hiring out one of its closed - but fully equipped wards - to a film company to use as a film set. "To add insult to injury, the movie was a pornographic one. Although I cannot claim to have seen the final picture - as I understand, these things are no longer claimable on parliamentary expenses - it was a big-budget affair and generated substantial income for the hospital. "But apart from cheering up a few of the in-patients, it cannot be said to be contributing to the objectives of the primary care trust (PCT)," she said, referring to the trusts that manage primary care health services in England. Mordaunt, who is MP for Portsmouth North, did not name the hospital during the debate on improving transparency in government accounting. A statement issued by NHS Kensington and Chelsea said: "We can confirm this incident occurred some time prior to 2002 under a predecessor organisation's management and prior to the formation of PCTs."
MIKA27 Posted July 7, 2010 Author Posted July 7, 2010 German man faces jail for mobile phone ringtone of Adolf Hitler speech Source: dailytelegrap.com.au A GERMAN man is facing up to six months in jail for having a speech by Adolf Hitler as his mobile phone ringtone. The 54-year-old had the Hitler speech - in which the Fuhrer pledged the "destruction of world Jewry'"if Germany was "dragged" into war - programmed into his Nokia phone. Passengers aboard a train in Hamburg heard the bizarre ringtone several times during a journey and reported him to police who seized him when the train stopped. When he was taken into custody, police also found swastika stickers and a photo of Hitler on the telephone with the words: "The greatest commander of all time". He was charged with violating the German constitution which expressly forbids public displays of the Nazis and all their works.
MIKA27 Posted July 7, 2010 Author Posted July 7, 2010 Eyeball vacuumed Two drug-affected teenage girls tortured a "vulnerable" young man with a vacuum cleaner before beating and setting him on fire, a Scottish court has heard. Paige Sharp, 16, and Danielle Sinclair, 17, are facing lengthy jail sentences after admitting to assaulting a 21-year-old man who has learning difficulties, The Scotsman reports. A 19-year-old witness filmed the ordeal, which occurred in March, on a mobile phone. The footage showed Sharp punch the man repeatedly and set his jeans on fire, while Sinclair attacked him with a metal pole before attaching a vacuum cleaner to his eye and genitals. The footage, which was played before Sheriff Kevin Veal at Arbroath Sheriff Court, showed the victim pleading for the attack to stop. The girls had been drinking and consuming drugs including mephadone, commonly known as meow meow, which had been supplied by the victim. The court heard a rumour had spread that the victim had inappropriately touched Sinclair, which prompted the attack. "The victim was subjected to this attack by these girls in an almost feral way," Sheriff Veal said. "The vicious and prolonged nature of this assault, which culminates in the setting fire to his jeans, means that it is very serious indeed." Sheriff Veal remanded the pair in custody for sentencing at a later date.

MIKA27 Posted July 8, 2010 Author Posted July 8, 2010 Chinese baby born with mask-face A Chinese baby born with a rare facial deformity that makes it appear like he is wearing a mask is being prepared for corrective surgery. Zhao Huikang suffers from a severe form of macrostomia, a condition that leaves sufferers with an abnormally wide mouth, the Shanghai Daily reports. Photographs of Zhao show his mouth appearing to stretch up to the middle of his face. Zhao was born to a poor family in a rural area of the Hunan province. Family members encouraged his mother Yi Zilian to abandon him but she refused. "The only thing I could do is to give him more love and more care and try our best to make him live a normal life," she said. Zhao's deformity appeared so severe doctors were reluctant to let his mother see him after it was born, according to reports. A Shanghai hospital has decided to provide free surgery to the boy to correct the deformity but Dr Ren Tianping said he may need many procedures over time as he grows up. "Since he can't chew, the boy also suffers malnutrition," Dr Tianping said. "Our surgery will ensure he can eat." The procedures will repair the facial bones, muscles and surface tissue but doctors are still unsure whether the surgery will be successful. MIKA: I hate it when kids are born and they start life with such terrible deformaties. No matter what though, they always seem to smile.

Padrino Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 Besides having the World Cup in my neck of the woods, here is something that happened recently... Man shoots self, hit by truck “It is alleged that the suicidal man had attempted to take his own life last night (Wednesday) by shooting himself in the head with a .22 handgun while seated in his car," Netcare 911 spokesperson Jeff Wicks said. "The bullet passed through the man’s mouth and was lodged in his skull.” Still conscious, he got out of his vehicle and tried to cross the road when a truck ran over him. Paramedics treated and stabilised him on the scene, before taking him to hospital. How badly does your life suck when you can't even kill yourself properly...
