anacostiakat Posted June 16, 2010 Posted June 16, 2010 Some spirited discussion with friends. It was proposed to ask this to the FOH members. Will discuss the reasons for it in a few days but please take the time to answer Sanchos and Beli's. They were both aged. I really enjoyed the Beli's. The Sanchos were uneven. The good ones were great.
laficion Posted June 16, 2010 Posted June 16, 2010 I have always enjoyed the line, the Beli's are good but I've always had a weakness for the Corona Gigantes, great Sancho taste . The Molinos, yes, when they are not plugged, which has often been the case.
mkz Posted June 16, 2010 Posted June 16, 2010 No on both questions im afraid. Cant really see that changing anytime soon...
Wiley Posted June 16, 2010 Posted June 16, 2010 Molinos and Belicosos and Non Plus. All great. Mostly.
Onsto Posted June 16, 2010 Posted June 16, 2010 Have a 10 box of Sanchos on the way. Will review when they arrive.
sje Posted June 16, 2010 Posted June 16, 2010 came accross a mid to late 90s box of 10 (A size) Sanchos i think they are, could not pass them up , rich dark chocolate in color none smoked, s
88keys Posted June 16, 2010 Posted June 16, 2010 Last year in Berlin I asked the guy at LCDH what was great at the moment. CoRo was no shock, but then SP Belicosos was a surprising answer. They were pleasant enough. Either I didn't appreciate the flavor profile or they were just a little bland. Would like to try again sometime.
MIKA27 Posted June 16, 2010 Posted June 16, 2010 I've never purchased a box as such however have tried a few sBelicosos singles which were ok.
samb Posted June 16, 2010 Posted June 16, 2010 No box, no single, not even a gifted smoke. But I wouldnt mind trying one.
Ken Gargett Posted June 16, 2010 Posted June 16, 2010 box from the vintage program. coronas from memory. loved them. and as for singles, the big fellas. quite a few.
mm12 Posted June 16, 2010 Posted June 16, 2010 I like the Non Plus and generally keep a box in my petit corona rotation. Just a consistent solid 87-89 cigar IMO. Earth, toasted tobacco, and salt. Nothing too complex, but nice bold flavors.
Wicky Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 Enjoyed a box of Belis. Not a bad cigar at all! But I end up choosing something else over Sancho Ps.
ChanceSchmerr Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 Broken Record time for me! SP Sanchos are my all-time favorite smoke. To date I've purchased 4 boxes of Sanchos, 1 box of Belis - 3 of these 5 boxes is in my Czar Locker. I've also bought umpteen Sanchos Singles, a Beli Single that was terrible, 2 Non Plus singles and a plugged Bachilleres. I remain desperate to try a SP Corona and Corona Gigante. I'm waiting to see what I can find on vacation in Spain/Portugal this summer before I get really desperate and try a less-than reputable online source. Finally - I am very excited for the planned SP Quijote RE for Spain later this year. I may be the only one out there who is pumped for this cigar, but I will stop at nothing to get a box of them once they are released! SP kicks ass!
ColKurtz Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 Grabbed a box of non-plus a while back. Can't wait to see how much HQ makes a difference on these.
Guest rob Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 I purchased a box of Sanchos from 98. I should have bought some Monte A's instead.
khomeinist Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 Let me guess. Lowest selling marca? Greatest % production sitting in mysterious warehouse? Never purchased a box. The word 'plugged' usually sends me running in the opposite direction.
Smooth Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 Had a box of beli's years back. Have bought singles of the belicosos and molinos. Love them but don't buy many.
habanohal Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 I ve bought atleast 1 box of the wfole range. Multiple of the Belis, non plus and Baherellis
perfectform Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 No to both. Nor have I ever smoked one, though I do have an aged bachilleres in my humidor.
ahbroody Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 Bought a box of Bach's when vendors were whoring them out. Wasted money on the 99 to 01 stock. Tent pegs half the box. As mentioned by another salty tobacco. For my money why bother when I can buy partagas or upman or Juan Lopez, or damn near anything else.
Laxman Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 Never had any and not sure I would, though I have not heard anything about them so, who knows
dicko Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 Haven't tried one, haven't really heard much about them, either good or bad. same, totally flies under the radar
