El Presidente Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 I received our Custom prototypes this morning. Two sizes, a shaggy foot Dalia and a custom sized Celstiales Finos with a 48 gauge tapered at both ends. I love the Dalia size, has always been a favourite. The Customized CF is my preferred large gauge cigar. Fits beautifully in the hand (not too large) with a taper at the cap which makes it a comfortable fit in the mouth for all. Next step is letting them rest although Ken. Elie and i will do a vid review on these next week. I will follow up in a month. If I am happy with the blend then we will have our first cigars for members come September. If not I will play around with the blend again but I am more than happy with the sizes. Introducing the "Tampa" (Dalia) and the "Czar"
El Presidente Posted June 9, 2010 Author Posted June 9, 2010 will any make it to melbourne today ? Actually I am leaving in a few minutes for the airport. Will bring both along as conversation pieces. They are nowhere near ready to smoke.
sje Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 Actually I am leaving in a few minutes for the airport. Will bring both along as conversation pieces. They are nowhere near ready to smoke. Rug up, its bloody cold, even for us (rainy too)
buster Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 Yowsah!! Dalia vitola is a fave, and I agree w/ Chance, the wrapper on the Celestiales Finos looks good enough to eat! Here's hoping the blend is spot on. Rick
mkz Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 WOW! Hope I can get a few of these in my humi this fall...
Onsto Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 Very nice, thought I'd fancy the dalia but the CF looks stunning. Assuming all goes well, can you give us a 'general' guide to what prices we can expect?
sama Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 now those look like something to get excited about! great sizes!!
jacksfull Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 Both look terrific. Very appealing, and a great choice of sizes. Just one question, though. Do you light the shaggy foot or clip it first?
FireDigger Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 Alright! Best cigar-related news I've heard in months! Nice touch on the name as well.
MrGlass Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 They look magnificent, but the Czar is so dark and oily it'll be a test of self control to leave them long enough to age (or even adjust). If they smoke half as good as they look, you're onto a winner.
rckymtn22 Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 They look great and should be a hot commodity. Just hope they smoke as good as they look and sticks enough to go around.
