Fuzz Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 I also got a Nespresso machine (ROMEO), I like the simplicity and the range of coffee. It's a matter of taste... Gotta agree with all the other Nespresso fans. I've a Delonghi EN90 model with an Aeroccino for frothing milk. From start to finish, the whole process takes less than 2 mins. Great for when you're in a rush and need that boost of caffeine in the morning. Then again, I've had some really great coffee made by a mate who has a $1000 machine and $500 grinder.
sje Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 ok here is my 2c Buy once buy well, we have had for a few years an Rancillio commercial unit (Epoca) non plumbed with a commercial grinder, this was nearly 2500 as a combination, we have experimented with coffee but feel we have a list of suppliers that meet our needs. the less electronics the better. my brother in Law during the same 5 or 6 year period has had to buy 4 automated units, that keep breaking down, both in and out of warranty, he has never been able to produce a good coffee. what you buy is totally dependent on how serious you are about coffee (kinds like cigars aint it) but buy once and buy well, (Robs had my coffee and I am still waiting for the verdict) Spiro
hoyopr Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 I have an Aeropress, don't knock it until you have tried it. Easy to travel with as well. About $25.00.http://www.aerobie.com/Products/aeropress_story.htm http://www.amazon.com/AeroPress-Coffee-and...r/dp/B000GXZ2GS Found the local distributer, picked one up and it works great, Thanks!
Freddy Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 I will add my voice to those who recommended a Nespresso machine. They have several sizes and I have one I take with me when I travel (even to Europe)
Fuzz Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 Found the local distributer, picked one up and it works great,Thanks! Friend of mine has one of these. Wasn't sure about drinking coffee from a press made by the same company that I bought my ring frisbee from....
