El Presidente Posted March 7, 2010 Posted March 7, 2010 Time has come around for year three of the Saint Luis Rey Double Corona Experiment. Three years ago we set aside two cabs of SLR Double Corona's and appointed 20 reviewers to complete review which we repeated last year. For those who submitted a review last year we will be forwarding another SLR DC Friday this week from that original batch. Please post your reviews between May 15th to June 1st. Lets see how these puppies are aging
shrink Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 Once again, I'm looking forward to this year's Saint Luis Rey Double Corona. I liked the example I smoked last year, which showed real promise for further aging. Thanks again, Rob, for the opportunity.
Ken Gargett Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 looking forward to this. we should do it as a vid! what was the code again? had a SLR DC (SOL DIC 05, i think. this off the top of my head but the DIC 05 part is definitely correct) a few nights ago. have had two or three from this cab and they have been good but this one was on another level. amazing amounts of honey for the first 2/3rds. complex, rich, continued to evolve. wonderful cigar and may be the best SLR DC i have had since the very early ones. if these hit anything like this level (and from memory, they have a long way to go to even get within cooee), i'll be very happy.
asmith Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 Yeah Ken you are all over it with that box code, the correct box code is AEP ENE 07, I found the old review just to see if things have changed.
BigSlick Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 Looking forward to continuing this expirement. Thank you again for the opportunity. TD

Mel Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 I still smoke cigars bring it on. I will smoke one of my 02 the day ahead of the 07 and compare those also. Rob I doubt you remember way back when we first met and I passed on picking them all up from ya. Big mistake. I recall you let a bunch of your relatives huff most of them. LOL.
