Bartolomeo Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 -Wheat/Grass on pre draw -Excellent construction, Cinnamon-tan wrapper and nicely filled -Bought a couple of singles of these -1/3 is coffee, grass, White pepper, creamy-sweet bread like a custard, Light-Medium opening -Ash is light Grey and flaky but keeping a nice shape -2/3 spice is gone, cream is still there along w/ coffee and hints of floral come to mind, fresh cigar taste, Medium in profile -I find HDM to be typically lighter in nature over time so I prefer them earlier than later -Had to re-light twice -Final 1/3 is still Medium with coffee and cream, like a Latte -Not the most complex of cigar now but really flavorful IMHO -9/10 now……..don’t know how well these will age as I have never had an aged Epi #2 Bart
Joachim Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 The Epi#2 is IMO a cigar that will age pretty good. Much better then the petit robusto and Epi#1. Had an Epi#1 from 2005 today, and it was not good. Maybe it was sick but I don`t think so. But i must admit that the Epi#2 is not the best candidate for longterm aging, just one of the better vitolas in this marca. Great review.
stargazer14 Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 My review of this smoke earlier in the week was of the same month, enjoyed the flavors but it faded out on me past half way.
android Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 Thanks for the review...the Epi # 2 is a great mid-day / afternoon cigar.
