Punch SS #1 EMA MAR 08

-Got some singles from a generous member here and wanted to revisit this smoke

-Dark Maduro wrapper, kind of hard with a semi-chipped foot

-Pre draw was earthy and dry tobacco

-Initial puff was sort of bland with a mild, dry sweetness, similar to powder sugar

-Citrus zest, wood and earth are abundant in 1/3

-Wonder why Punch only released in Cabs and not dress boxes?

-Medium in profile but flavors are sort of muted in 1/3, mild and mellow is a good description

-Ash is a tight , Grey log, typical Cuban tighter draw, perfect burn rate

-2/3 flavors pick up some more with nodes of honey, coffee, sweet leather, dark chocolate…..kind of chewy and exciting

-Is it possible for a hint of soy sauce? I think so, this is a first for me J

-Last 1/3 finishes strong in flavor, lovely!

-9.1 with a potential of 9.3 easily in time

Bart: Thanks for the geat review and the Super Selections are my favorite of the Punch line. It's a shame that these are going to be disco'd. Need to get another cab before they are all gone.

Thanks Bart. I got a Cab with the same code...don't remeber the wrappers looking extremely dark though. Hopefully they smoke just as good!
