-Pre draw was dried fruit

-Gobs of smoke initially with flavors of toasted leather, tobacco and black pepper w/ hint of Citrus, very tiny amount on the aftertaste

-Very unique domed tip, almost like a nipple

-Flavorful but light in nature, almost like a meringue

-Well constructed, feels good in hand, not too tight, not underfilled, solid feeling cigar…….it should be for the $30 price it commands 

-Some coffee and a sticky, sweetness on the back of my throat are in the 1/3, a tad bit of heat also presents itself

-At this point it’s a cross between a HDM Epi Especial and a light Partagas in profile and flavor

-Ash is kind of unique, Black on the outside ring with a Grey-ish White center, flaky, not tight at all which is a little surprising

-Cigar is Medium in 1/3 and a solid Medium in 2/3

-In the 2/3 a slight bitterness appears, almost like aged coffee with some toffee, delicious if I do say so myself

-I would say its definitely a unique flavor, minor traces of Nicotine show up I think

-Burns quicker than the Platino

-Sweet Jamaican bread taste in 2/3 takes forefront for a couple of minutes

-Lots of class and flavor with this big cigar, potential is enormous

-Last 1/3 has vintage leather, syrupy sweetness,

-Kind of a looser draw at the end compared to the start but nothing to hurt the experience

-One of the most complex and enjoyable cigars I have had

-Smoke time was 121 mins

-9.15/10 now with a potential of 9.4 in years

Nice review. I really like this smoke, one of my favotrites ( hence the avatar ). Not a lot of balls but great flavors. Definitely a perfect stick to relax outside with. I find the 07's to be smoking much better than the 08's also.

Wow, nice review and photos Bart! It sounds like a great stick. Thanks for sharing.

The '07 that I recently smoked was excellent. Very balanced and loaded with good flavors. Alas, I have no '08s with which to conduct a taste comparison.

Great review Bart.

Nice review. One of my top favorite cigars.

I have had different experiences than you however. A few singles and two from my only box, first run.

Mine were med-full, last half full bodied and very substantial. Also the profiles of mine were a very distinct blend of the Montecristo and Upmann marca. Each time I had one, it ended up being the last cigar of the day/evening for me as it totally satiated my cigar lust.

interesting - would you say worth the $30 price tag?

Good photos esp of that "domed tip", that Really Does looks like a Nipple - good freudian marketing - if they had any sense they'd make more in this format...!

"Suckers" like me (and most other males?) couldn't resist impulse buying and prob wouldn't notice why.

If I was rich, yes, they are worth the money, they are Top 3 RE for me

Am I rich, no, so I pick up fivers when I can

Is that why I love the 109 shape so much...
