Stalebread Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 I'm still at it. Trying to improve my drawing skills. Trying some new things like pencil over color. And a looser approach to using watercolor.
demiurgic Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 "a looser approach to using watercolor" sounds like a challenge and opportunity to capture a lucid, smoky, hazy, almost impressionist view of one enjoying a cigar. A cigar which is so definate, so linear, but whose boders and sharp lines are made somewhat transcendental because of watercolor. Please post more pictures of your art...
laficion Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 Ken, Keep up the good job, I know that an artist is never fully satisfied with his work but he should not underestimate his talent.
finecigar Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 Good job! I am also a painter. Watercolour is not the easiest medium to use but It seems as if you are doing a great job. I like the one numbered 9, that is my favorite out of the ones. All in all, keep up this good work. -Happy painting/ & smoking of course!
thechenman Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 I love the black, white and grays of your pencil work. Phenomenal. Keep it up...
