DCS, it appears this vendor is not very trusted by members of the other forum I mentioned before. Not only do they have these suspect Salomons, but also had problems with the fake Partagas Piramide EL 2000 that ravaged Switzerland from a few years back. According to another member, they also sold fake Montecristo Robusto EL 2000s which were deemed fake by BOTLs in France and Belgium.

Those are all other's words. Based on their current website, Cohiba Sublimes and Cohiba Double Coronas for those prices? Very suspect.

PS. Colt, I completely understand. If you'd rather us take this to PMs, I can do that.

In my opinion, this type of discussion is important and beneficial to us all - we just have to be very careful about "calling anyone out" so to speak.

(not that you guys were) If my fellow mods or the admins have a different view, they'll let us know

I have seen this cigar on a trusted site for sale for a few years and it was in boxes of 25. To rich for my blood.

Now they show sold out for the 25 count box and have the 10 count boxes.

Other sites have had singles for sale for a long time, so I think 25 count boxes were made.

Hopefully you have the real deal, they look just like I wish my 10 count boxes would.

Honestly, these look terrible. When I see a "cuban" so dark like this my alarm bells go off. Smell them - do they smell cuban? Usually these type of dark cigars smell like a dried dog ****.

Three years ago I had an appointment with another cigar merchant. The task ahead of us was to find the best box of BBFs in his walk-in humidor. After an hour, we settled for an outstanding box of PSP qualitity. Last night I compared the BBF box with the Salomones. For what it is worth, the smell was in the same league.

Anything is possible. Everything is questionable. The truth lies with those that actually know.

No longer the Prez. of FOH but the Dalai Lama!

The only people who know are those that commissioned them.

Post the Partagas Piramide fake debacle which were Cuban and had to have the involvement of people who are or were at the highest levels of the industry, I would not purchase a box of Cohiba DC LE, Partagas Piramide LE's....any LE's prior to 2004 unless those cigars have been with the vendor/distributor (and able to be proved so) since release.
