El Presidente Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Partagas Serie de Connaisseur No 3 TEB OCT 07. A personal Favourite.
toto Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 warren, so sorry bout the finger!!! OMG. I thought it was a joke from another posts using PS making fun of Rob. He's giving you lifetime free cigars no? LOL
shrink Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 "The pre-eminent small format cigar in the world today". Quite a remarkable evolution, and complexity, in such a shortie, eh? One of my faves. Cutting it is a habanos tragedy of historic proportions.
Warren Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 warren, so sorry bout the finger!!! OMG. I thought it was a joke from another posts using PS making fun of Rob.He's giving you lifetime free cigars no? LOL Well it's no use crying about it, accidents happen and when you do something stupid like lose the end of your finger you have to laugh. Free cigars for life hey, that's an interesting concept.
Tampa1257 Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Great review guys! I don't recall ever mentioning Chocolate as a flavor with a Partagás before, but all three of you said it so there must be something to it. I absolutely love the Connaisseur No.3, it will be sorely missed.

Good outlook on the whole situation of loosing a finger. As much as it does suck I am sure, It's good you have a laughing perspective on it. Will you be having a surgery to get the finger back on or anything like that? I am just curious.
android Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Great job guy's....sad, sad they will be cut.

Will you be having a surgery to get the finger back on or anything like that? I am just curious. No there wont be any further surgery. I took the finger tip to the hospital with me but they decided it wasn't viable. I have since found out that the healing process is faster if you don't try to re attach the finger. It would be a different matter if it was a whole finger, then it would be worth trying but I only lost from the first knuckle up. I thought perhaps I might make a tiny hook for the end and start wearing an eye patch and a parrot.
Bill Hayes Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 Just received a small parcel of these from FOH and it's unbelievable that they would be deleting them. An absolute joke. I opened the box and the aroma hits you straight away. Spicy and full bodied. Just gorgeous in a small format. My fav small smoke along with the trini reyes. I hope they see the error of their ways and re-instate the whole line in a couple of years.
ksblazer Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Another nice review. I need to get some of these before you can't find them anymore. Don't want to be one of the guys that post on the forum about how I missed the bus on these in a few years from now.
Charltonc Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Simply an amazing cigar great vid This sounds like something I need to try, I will keep it on my radar.

Such a great cigar that will be missed, along with you Chuck!
olotti Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 I bought two boxes after this review back in the day. Smoked right through the first one and had the second in the OLH for a couple years. Had is shipped last year. The smell on opening the box was intoxicating, plume on the wrappers, greening around the bands. So far smoked 5 and they've been sublime. Unlike this review these little buggers get into ya right off the bat. Pure Partagas spice, earth, some chocolate, pepper through the nose, long full finish, complex, amazing for such a small, thin cigar, these have another 5yrs on them easy. I'm gonna baby mine, prob one of the most prized cigars I have. Shame these are gone, next to the 898, its the best Partagas format I've had and I love the D4 but these are just special.
