Bartolomeo Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 **pics to follow** -Gifted from a glorious member -Cigar had a couple hard spots but nothing to worry about -Never had one of these before, in fact, never heard of these before, I was in for a treat -Initial puffs are toasted marshmallow and fine Italian aged leather -Very smooth, great draw for an older cigar and classy at the same time -1/3 has dry wood(Oak), White pepper and a touch of the sweetness left over from the beginning, very much like a Partagas de Partagas #1, one of my favorite cigars -Mild-medium start, minimal smoke volume -Blackish-Grey log for an ash, very tight -Transition in flavors is smooth and flowing, more like an Escort than a Hooker, if that makes sense and don’t ask me how I know……….. -Chocolate pudding and aged tobacco show up in 2/3 -I think I realize that the PdP is the poor man’s Seleccion Privada -Final 1/3 has a light maple syrup with some nutmeg and a slight presence of Cayenne pepper, touch of crème -One of the best smokes I have had in the last 90 days, off to find a box if I can…….. -9.3/10 Bart
aavkk Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 These are among my favorite Partagas Bart, of course HSA went and nixed this wonderful cigar. I'm sure Piggy will have something to say about this legend.
shrink Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 This cigar has one the most delicious finishes I've ever enjoyed in a smoke. Long, smooth, sweet and luxurious. More like a truffle than a cigar. Of course they discontinued it.
Cubanface Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 I just read the post by Suckling on the Cigar Aficionado website from which you got your avatar. I thought it was a tie die. If you haven't read the post on cigaraficionado.com, I'll post the link. Some of the most entertaining stuff I've ever read. http://www.cigaraficionado.com/Cigar/CA_Bl...695,485,00.html
