Bartolomeo Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 -Initial is some spicy Cocoa with a backdrop of old leather -Draw was a little on the tighter side but opened up as the cigar and I got to know each other -Ash lasted an inch then it decided it was done and abandoned ship -Sweet Caramel taste appeared in 1/3, kind of similar to an aged PLPC -Medium/Full body early on and continued that path the entire smoke -Flavors included Cinnamon, Caramel, woody aftertaste (pleasant), hint of dried fruit -Long finish with a nice sweet-bitter-spice aftertaste -Construction was great and well packed but not too much -98 mins smoke time -Really, really enjoyed it and looking for a box...... -9.2/10 Bart
Boosted Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 Thank you for doing a review on this one Bart! Nice review, and I look forward to burning the two that I got recently from a friend.
maalouly Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 Great Review, I enjoy reading the short description. Keep them coming.
joeypots Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 These are going to be huge in another couple of years>
greenpimp Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 NIce review. I have two boxes of these. I agree, Joey. These were blended and constructed for the long haul, IMO, slightly tight when young but they got guts and flavor and in a couple years they'll be outstanding.
anacostiakat Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 Thanks for the review. I am very happy to hear this!
Ginseng Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 Great short review. I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed it. I'm half way through a box and not a single one has impressed me. But then again, I'm not a fan of PL in general. Only the Robusto have I enjoyed. Wilkey
PigFish Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 One of these might be on the plate soon. I have been wondering how they have been doing. Might just have to take a look-see! Nice review amigo! -R
