    Hello, I'm going to be in New York next weekend and will have a few precious hours to occupy myself whilst Mrs Hedgeybaby goes to some shops that I have zero interest in. We will mostly be in Brooklyn and wondered if any of you had any thoughts about the place. I know that there has been some previous posts about the place in the past, but would be interested if anyone has any recent thoughts. Is it still Bring-your-own-bottle? Cheers,

    A bunch of us FOH members are getting together at Club Macanudo in NYC because I am there for a long weekend to celebrate my sister's 50th birthday. We are on a trip with 12 of her closest girlfriends and I am going to need a break! So please come on over and bring your favorite cigars. I will be there at 6:30. Not sure if dinner is there or what the night will bring, but we will have a fantastic time. Lisa, CB

    Visiting with my sister and a TON of her friends, which is great, but I might need a break from "Sex in the City!" If I can organize a dinner and some time in the Davidoff time I was there it was a dump! Love to see the new one. *****Coming up soon!!*** I want to make a reservation, so let's confirm. Lisa

    Previously, when traveling to NYC I thought the only place to smoke indoors was the Carnegie Club. This is a night club with a $10 fee for bringing in your own cigars and last time I was there, a $40 cover. That was years ago and the club has totally been transformed. Yesterday, had a cigar in a beautiful lounge at Davidoff's Madison Avenue. All they ask is if you are smoking Cuban, to remove the band. Their walk in Humidor is fantastic. I tried one of the new Davidoff cigars: But I found it weak, flavourless and unfortunately unsmokeable. I did however treat myself to a gorgeous Dunhill travel humidor in purple, with an embossed bulldog I saw another cigar store not far from our our Times Square hotel, Moderne, with a smoking lounge as well. Can't remember the name. What this tells me is if the cigar store is one of quality, they will have a lounge. -CB
