  1. Hi everyone, just wanted to introduce myself! I'm a newbie when it comes to CC's and am hoping to grow my collection through 24:24 while meeting some great people. Thanks for having me! CG36
  2. Hey all, thanks for having me and for this great resource. I started as a pipe guy who slowly migrated to NC cigars. During a trip to Europe, I was able to buy some Cuban cigars (some of which were awful, and obviously fake as I look back through pictures), but some were great. Well, long story short, once I got a (proper) taste of that twang that one only finds in cuban tobacco, I was hooked. I'm guessing I'm not the only one who sticks cigars in my wife's face and implores her to smell them?
  3. Howdy y’all! Just joined the forum and would like to introduce myself! I had my first cigar a couple years ago, when a friend of mine stated I needed to buy some cigars for him and myself to celebrate the birth of his first son! I remember like it was yesterday; walking into my B&M’s humidor and asking an employee for a good cigar to pair with beer. He gave me a very funny look, so I backtracked and asked for one that pairs with bourbon. Then a bell rang and he pointed me to Ted’s Bourbon Cigar; my first smoke. Since then I’ve tried many different cigars with the aid of a large retailer and YouTube channel out of Phoenix! My first Cuban cigar was a Hoyo De Monterey no1 purchased during a recent trip to Italy, and since I’ve been hooked on CC’s as well! Appreciate everyone who makes this excellent forum a great experience and look forward to chatting with everyone!
  4. 40 year old US citizen who has been smoking cigars for about 20 years. Recently embarked on a mission to explore the Habanos universe. I can honestly say that, generally speaking, habanos are significantly more enjoyable than non habanos. So....I guess I get to spend a ton of money as I dive head-first into collecting, aging, and smoking habanos. I love my wife, my friends, my family, and my two dogs, Lucy and Sir Arthur Digby Charles Chicken Ceaser (aka Charlie). Hopefully, my wife won't divorce me when she finds out how much money I'm spending on cc's. Yikes. I have really enjoyed discovering the world of habanos and the great people that share my passion for ccs. My collection is small, but I look forward to watching it progress as I become more familiar with all the nuances of Habanos S.A. and their products. I'm not very active on social media so I often have difficulties navigating this forum, but I am getting more familar with each day. I really enjoy it so far. Hopefully I will have something to contribute to the site and fellow users. Favorite Foods: 1) Butter 2) Salt 3) Fried Chicken Hobbies: Cars, Computers, Hi-Fi audio, art (cheap prints because I am not a millionaire), salt water aquariums, reading, swimming, boating, and cigars! Go to cigar: Montecristo #2 (all time favorite, this is the cigar that 'opened my eyes') I also enjoy the H. Upmann coronas major. Looking forward to trying a larger vitola someday. Drink: Currently I have been sippin' on a lot of different Bardstown bourbons and Montessino and Grander rums. I'll drink whatever you will pour me though.
  5. I have been here for awhile now, and never introduced myself. I have been smoking for about 12 years now. I began with pipes, then got offered my first Cuban cigar (PL Panetela). This quickly became my favorite hobby. The amount of dopamine this produced from researching, buying, and selling was and is truly amazing. I love the form types, and I’m extremely excited to share my experiences and opinions that I have accumulated over the years.
  6. Hi, all, I've been a cigar smoker for about 10 years now and used to pick up Habanos when I traveled for work. Sadly international travel for work has dried up, and research led me to FOH for Cubans, camaraderie, and chitchat. I've been browsing around for about a week now just scoping things out. Y'all seem pretty cool, so thanks for having the community!
  7. Hello everyone! Im a new member from NSW, Australia. I have a little experience with cigars, but getting into it properly now. I have a xikar humidor set up and packed a box of partagas shorts in it that i got today. Im keen to get my collection going!
  8. Hi guys, Long time lurker but first time poster ! Really excited to join this community for good Little bit of background on me, I'm a recent grad working in tech here in Montreal. Been into cigars for about two years now, first I ever smoked was a Fonseca Cosacos. Unfortunately never had the chance to smoke any Cubans since then (local prices at Mtl's LCDH are through the roof), but I'm hoping this can change now. Hobbies and pastimes include writing software and collecting / Drinking Scotch. Anyways that's all from me for now, hopefully I'll get to know you guys some more and thank you all for welcoming me here.
  9. Hello from Birmingham in the UK. Found the forum from watching the FOH reviews on YouTube. I tend to like thicker ring gauges and medium/medium full cigars - my current "go to" is the Partagas Serie D No.4. I've been smoking Cuban's for about twenty years.

  11. hey fellas... And ladies, name is Michael, go by mike. From chicago, I've been really getting into cigars for the past year. Have dabbled with cigars before than but after having a couple Cubans(pd4, hdm2, monte2) about a year ago I've just been hooked. Cigars really have almost grown to be kind of a passion of mine. I definitely will look forward to learning from all of you Mike
  12. Greetings to everyone! My name is András (prefered nickname is Sunsource), I am a student studying economics in Hungary. Since the weather is freezing and rainy outside nowdays, I do not get that many chance to smoke a cigar, which is not that bad, because my humidor is almost clean (4 cigars left only). I have been into smoking cigars for 1 year now, my "first" was a R&J Wide Churchill, a birthday gift from a very good friend of mine. I prefer drinking a nice jar of brown beer while smoking a good habanos. I usually smoke during the weekend, sometimes with my brother, who is a cigarette smoker, but we like to spend some time with each other, smoking a cigar, drinking a nice bear, and playing cards, while listening to music suitable for my taste (usually) . Regarding my taste for music, I like rock, blues and I have started to experience the magical world of jazz. For several months, I have been into smoking a pipe, which was a new experience to me, after smoking approx. 2 dozen cigars. I will spend the next semester in the Netherlands, as an Erasmus scholar, during which I want to continue on experiencing the world of habanos little by little. Looking forward joining in, Best regards to all fellows, András
