But a lovely piece of work. If the weather behaves, I'll break it in soon. Some pics below. Non-descrit black box. (ooooh) Precious Content In all its' glory Thanks for using the monkey logo and not soiling it with Ken's mug. Oh and I highly recommend the rest of you get the regular one. It's nice too I guess. Many thanks to Rob for commissioning such an eco/historical/unfriendly piece. In all seriousness, great piece of work. My contribution to April Fool's, since everyone on the planet sees it coming from a mile away.

I was documenting some of my pieces earlier today and thought those with an appreciation for history might be interested in seeing this. It's the cigar ashtray that Ernest Hemingway gave to Orson Welles 60 years ago. Silver-plate, not silver. Giant of a piece. Perfect nick. A lovely, simple ashtray. Papa was not renowned for gift giving and Welles' daughter, Bibi, said it became her father's most treasured possession. Here's a wonderful clip of that bear of a man.

You may have seen another post on a hand engraved cutter. I'd like to add, for those with some disposable income and the need for a new ashtray, the following hand made, hunk-a-metal... http://westcoastchoppers.com/store/handmade-parts/cigar-ashtray/ Personally, I like it but it's a bit much for something to dump ash in. And, what about that cigar?
