  1. Looking for some cigar gifts for some buddies of mine. Bought them some Lotus torches that have already fallen apart. Cigars would be great, of course, but I'm not sure they both have humidors. Wondering if there is something durable and cool that I haven't thought about. Thanks!
  2. Just got back from a lovely week in Cancun with my daughter. We were on the Isla Mujeres, about a half hour boat ride off of Cancun. Lovely resort, very expensive called Zoetry. Other than we had no hot water and our room smelled like poop, we really did have a good time. Found a couple of lads to smoke cigars with, and they got theirs at a walk in humidor in "el gift shop". Now, you have to understand, there is absolutely no shopping on this island, so after a day or two even the itchiest guy might need to spend some dough. A petit corona was at least $50US. He said it was terrible. Surprise surprise. I went in and checked and every box was fake. The green tax stamps were color photocopies, there were no date/factory codes on the bottom and the one box of Cohiba Maduros they had loooked like they were dipped in brown paint. When I asked Matthew if I should say anything, he said, "What? You think they don't know? Who do you think you are? Let them have their fun (he meant the customers) and quit pretending you are miss cigar know it all". Fortunately I had cigars to give the guys I met so they did not have to suffer any longer. Oh if that were only true for me... Today I took dog Blue to his friend Harley's for a romp outside. Harley's dad John just got back from Cuba. You know what is coming. I TOLD HIM PLEASE DO NOT BRING ME ANY CIGARS! Not one. Not two. But three boxes of this. It was very nice of him but... The bidding starts now. Do I hear $50..50..50
