Awesome review weekend, Tonight i had the absolute pleasure of smoking this cigar. I kept it at 64/65 since its original purchase in 2016. Amazing burn, heavenly aroma and one of the smoothest sticks I have ever had. The aroma just smelled exactly how a cigar is supposed to smell to me at least. It’s nearly impossible fo Rome to put into words. 1/3-The beautiful stick started with a light coffee and cohiba classic grassiness. Maybe a touch of white pepper on the finish but the only lasting flavor was the light coffee. 2/3-More coffee progressing in intensity with a light slowing of salted caramel. 3/4 I cant help but thinking this has to be one of the “easiest” cigars to smoke. The flavors are pronounced and distinct. The finish was deep dark roasted coffee, light caramel and a touch of dry roasted nuts. I couldn’t help but noticing that the coffe started light and progressed in intensity through the entire cigar. When the coffee flavors hit a medium plus body the salted caramel kicked in and stayed for quite a while. It was comparable to a caramel macchiato. Heavenly. I found the stick to be pretty complex but the favors were bold and in your face. I don’t think the box of these will last very long as they are smoking heavenly. 9.5 out of 10. Why not 10/10? Well it left me wanting more. I wanted it to last longer and wished it was a longer lasting. Total smoke time was about 1 hour and 55 minutes but I honestly could have smoked this stick for much longer and been quite content. When i get a stick this good i just don’t want it to end. This is easily one of my top 10 cigars I have ever smoked. I only notice light to moderate strength but a full flavor experience. (The forum is not letting me post pics tonight...sorry)

Greetings dear friends! After much coaxing by my dear pal, Jason (@jay8354) over some time, I've decided to give video reviewing a 'crack' over the upcoming Australian summer holiday season. I thought the exemplary 2017 Xmas Sampler would be a good source to share some knowledge of these fine cigars offered by El Presidente for the benefit of our members. I'd like to say that speaking 'on-the-fly' about cigars is certainly a challenge and I will need to acknowledge errors throughout this series (so bare with me). Also, please feel free to share your thoughts on these cigars in this thread, especially as they are the best of 2017. If you have views or opinions contrary to what has been stated, please feel welcome to express your thoughts and say so, after all, my own views here is intended to serve as a guide. The main goal of this series is to look at the question, "Why would you as a cigar enthusiast reach for this particular cigar? Or, what circumstances or situation suits each particular cigar in the 2017 Christmas Sampler series?"

Hi All, Would really appreciate some expertise here! A friend of mine went to Cuba over Thanksgiving and brought back 3 boxes of Cohiba Siglo VIs that he said he purchased for $50 each. He's saying that he went to Fabrica de Tabacos Partagas where the Cohibas were rolled and in the factory they told people you can buy boxes with or without the seal, which I find bogus to begin with. He didn't buy them IN the factory, but from "a guy with a good connection." I know that's a red flag in itself but he's been arguing with me for days now swearing that they're real with 100% certainty, yet the guy doesn't really know anything about cigars. The cost is really what shocks me as I know those boxes cost around $500-$600...does anyone know if $50 is BS if purchased in Cuba or are they still very expensive there? He tried to make the argument that people are very poor in Cuba so that's why goods are so cheap there, but when have cigars ever been a poor man's hobby in the last decade at least? He also said that "all the international hotels sell them for $100, so $50 isn't that far fetched." I've been to Nicaragua a few times and cigars there are even MORE expensive than they are in the states because of the taxes, which refutes the argument he makes about the country being corrupt and not well regulated...I don't think Nicaragua is further ahead than Cuba and if it is, not by a huge margin. Can anyone tell with 100% certainty by looking at the photos that these are real or fake? If you could explain why that would also be very helpful. Thanks so much all!

Hello Everyone! I just broke the bank on a box of Cohiba Siglo VI's, box code BTO December 2012 . Just wanted to know if anyone has any experience with this particular factory code what should i expect? I was wondering if it is indeed as per popular opinion a box from the El Laguito Factory. In terms of when to smoke them do u reckon they are ready for ignition or would they do better being put away for a while (if so how long do u think is a good time to set them away for). Went into the walk in humidor to pick up a budget box of SLR regios's and ended up walking out with this expensive box of cohibas because of the box code. hope its worth the $$$. Cheers
