  1. Partagas shorts, bolivar ce, hoyo des dieux,rass,sd4
  2. Butcher and Steakrestaurantowner. Producing and dry aging your own product and giving customers and myself the best quality possible. Ok, the workhours are hard and I would probably be my best customer, broke and dead because of a heart attack. But the sometimes dry aged meat I see on a daily basis is not really edible and cattle hardly complains.
  3. PSP 2s. I've had three and I will have no more. Never had bad Shorts and even all Presidentes I had where good.
  4. Lisadores sound great. Sign me up them, real beauties.
  5. I just joined a gym yesterday because during my last three weeks in fuerteventura the visit to weightroom was a fun part that vacation (no wind, so starting kitesurfing was not quite what I expected). Now I found out where all the beautiful women hide in the winter. The cardioarea has never been as tempting before. I'm really looking forward to getting back in shape.
  6. Thanks so much for the election but you could have at least waited for the bikini contest, now all that shaving for nothing ! Sharing a box is nice idea, but ageing your own boxes you know who to blame in case of mistreatment, and thus no friendship is ruined. And isn't it better to invest in cigars than in housing, because when your money goes up in smoke you get something in return. For Santa: I also want a box of San Cristobals El principes and a box of VR Unicos. Prost, Arne
  7. I wish for cigarfriendly EU-laws , a downfall in CC prices while further increasing quality, oh and of course world freedom. But in the real world following will do: Bolivar CE Cabinet H.Upmann Sir Winston (seems to be on most lists) ELDM demi tasse Trinidad Reyes DIplomaticos 5 Hoyo des Dieux Cab the new Min Ron Nee Bible (if, whenever it is going to be released)
  8. From what I just heard a lot of people seem to love the vector tri-pump. The used to have them on the tables at the my preferred lounge in Duessledorf. When I was there two weeks ago no more tri-Pumps. Seems that several people where so happy with them, that they just couldn't put them down or mistook them them for free souvenirs. Which really is a bugger, they were good. I am still a fan of my xicar genesis, even though I'm going to have to send it to kansas because of burning issues.
  9. I could still kick myself that I didn't buy Helmut Newtons Sumo when it was released. After reading about the 2nd edition in progress of the MRN bible I#m not going to make the same mistake twice. Maybe its time to start a savingsaccount because this piece of art sounds pricey. but it will probably age nicely.
  10. 1. Smoking a rather fresh VR Familiar on an empty stomach on a rather cold spring morning when you're new to cigars and giving the other eight or so cigars away because you think you've had enaugh of cigars. Never let one dudd get you down. 2. I second the beads, the storage device will evolve enventually, but soggy plugged cigars are no good as are those drywall types.
  11. I only had one 50 quite a while back when they were released as a regular edition. It was probably quite fresh but was merely ok. The last 46 was probably hiding in the humidor for about a 3/4 year but that was just amazing. The 48 have been getting better, the last one from czar box was really good. I would go with 46 and give it some time. As for the connie, the 2 and the Sir Winston I have no idea yet. But I'll give the Sir Winston a try today when I go to Duesseldorf, from what I read here and have read elsewhere they must be worth the money.
  12. Don't know the vintage, since buying it as a single. It wasn't spectacular, it was merely good. It started out earthy and there was freshly ground coffee, but without sweetness. This developed soon as a burnt sugar flavor, maybe accompanied with very dark chocolate. It was definetely more on the bitter side, that might have something to do with the Jever beer. But the draw was perfect. I was definetely tired and when I woke up this morning I saw what I had left over, half? SO not to make anybody sick, but I didn't want to let that gp to waste. I cut about an inch of and put it to use. And it was'nt even that bad, considering what I had done. I've had some problems with the piramides ? , the best having been the diplo2. But this was not that bad. Maybe some more time. Now I'm looking forward to that Don ALejandro and the RE from spain.
  13. Thanks for the idea. Bought a single I don'T know where some time ago. Will go down the humi-box and get it. My second VR ever. The last was a familiar, which made me give up cigars for quite a while. Wish me luck!
  14. Again, should you stumble on a nice box or cab of RASS (one you'd consider smoking yourself?) please let me know. I probably won't be online the next 20 hours, but still. Muchas gracias
  15. H.upmann petit corona- only cigar in may. And it was grrreat!! MY first by the way.
  16. This is just the question my girlfriend asked me yesterday. She then says that she worries about my health, which at my momentary count of one cigar per month or so, is a littler exaggerated. I found a stampcollection book I got when I was a kid some years ago, it was about as boring a when I started it, that is why it got lost. But cigars I dream about . Something for all the senses. They are hand made, so not one is like the other. They tease all the senses. I've got enaugh shoes, I#ve got a watch. But cigars I want more. Just the feel and smell , and yes the taste... While not many people around me understand this passion ( let them buy what ever they want) I'm happy to know that this place right here is full cigarmaniacs. Ok, I've finally got put down the next order.
  17. Since I had the Tainos in january (I know it is stupid to judge on one experience) I'd go with the RA. The one I tried, my brother had another, reminded me of the cheap brazilian cigars ( or was it Sumatra) my grandfather used to smoke. Maybe they were aged poorly, but still, if i had the choice (never having had a bad experience with RA) ...
  18. Since I can get two great cigars for the price of the cheapest cohiba I tend to stay away from cohiba, as I will with the behike. Shure reading descriptions from the grande reserva make my mouth water, but I'll leave it at reading and let others have the experience for me. Even though I might be missing out on something, I'd rather buy more good cigars and see them developing into something great, than have one great cigar for lots of money. And maybe in thirty years (should I live that long) I can enjoy a fantastic experience with a cigar which I aged myself. Please keep on writing reviews about the behike.
  19. I was about ten , and had'nt worked yet, when I read Matt Groening's " Work is hell." I was eventually convinced and wanted to be a son for the rest of my life. Then I landed in University and found my way out, eventually. Now I work 60+++ hours a week in a big, freaking ugly building. I can't complain, eventually I learn lots of new things and when I'm not decompensating I like what I'm doing. The money is sufficient to buy a cigar every now and then and to pay the rent for an appartment, with a nice balcony to smoke cigars on. In a couple of years I will be an orthopaedic surgeon, but thats still a long time. And there are so many opportunities and interesting things. Until now, I can't really regret anything!!!
  20. Dear Pres, thanks for the reply concerning the RASS CABs. So, since the budget is tight (or is it the look my girlfriend gives me when I buy cigars?), I will go for a box of D4s and RASS, for more diversity in the same amount of cigars. Concerning the RASS , maybe I'll get my hands on a PSP version one day. That should do the trick!!!
  21. Concerning the RASS, which I love. Is there a difference between the box of 25 and the cab of 50? I need to know. It's either going to be the cab of RASS or a box of D4s (never ever had a bad one ) and a box of RASS. Reading these past posts just makes my mouth water. The others i will give a try , or maybe another try. Thanks
  22. Thanks for this review. I've got half a box from 08 left, and they are great and getting better. Unlike the Oficios , where I had two good ones versus three really horrible (plugged, bad burn, no taste) ones;so far the principes have all been good. On another forum I had read a lot about a taste of cherry coke, and yes there have been a couple where the flavour of Cherry coke was very prominent (I probably wouldn't have thought of it myself). So now I'll be on the lookout for cooked carrots. To make it short: I HAve to get more! Great review, thanks for the reminder
  23. Thanks for this review. Just had an oppulent breakfast, but listening to the description makes me want to grab a spoon and dig into desert. It sounded like Tiramisu (the grandma recipe) in cigar form. Why does habanos want to stop the production to make more room for mediocre products? Sorry, but something like the Monte Opens is about as usefull as athletes foot! Best regards from old Europe, Arne
  24. Punch - Margaritas ,just got more expensive here but still affordable and even though the draw is often on the tight side never a letdown. Partagas Shorts-one of the best . San Cristobal- El principe Diplomaticos No. 4 ERDM-demi tasse
  25. I know this started out with Vegas Robaina. But I tried the Bolivar Petit Libertador (RE France 08, Short Robusto) in Strasbourg a couple of weeks ago. It was great, actually my best Bolivar experience to this day (except for the corona extra from I don't know when, I found in the depth of my humidor (which isn't deep at all) a short while ago). The burn was uneven, it had tunneling issues which I realized to late. But the taste and development were on the spot. So if the Vegas Robaina is halfway as good, I've got to give my buddy in Vancouver a call.
