  1. Not really a trick, but lately I tend to notice that ash color can impact the flavor of the cigar. When it’s dark grey, I tend not to enjoy my smoke as compared to when the ash is silver-white
  2. I literally laughed like crazy reading the comments. Keep on rolling please LoL
  3. When you have a good storage condition, any cigar will perform at its best. It's easy to blame packaging, when sometimes probably the main issue is only the humidor and how the condition is preserved. Or another possibility is that particular cigar is just bad, period. I have smoked many cigars from cardboard, stored for few years inside the original packaging (at that time I didn't know that it would be better to remove them to a humidor), and they tasted brilliant.
  4. Tried the Origen and not a big fan. Classic Partagas is more appealing to me.
  5. Starting the weekend with Punch 48 from 2019. Happy weekend FOH!!
  6. My deepest condolences @eaglebear29. May he rest in peace.
  7. I don't believe anyone would despised FOG videos. I learn how to light up a cigar from FOH video, thanks to Ken, not from the Sahakian or any other. Make it simple and just light up the goddamn cigar 🤣😂
  8. Very enjoyable following this thread 😅. If Kirby’s video alone manages to create this much fun, I wonder what will happen with Jasim’s 😄
  9. Honey sweetness all over the place at the initial first third. During the second third, hint of coffee powder and cocoa, with slight sweetness at the background. Great cigar.
  10. I suggest you wipe the wrapper with dry tissue paper. From the look it should be fine and definitely smokeable.
  11. Many new released CC are actually very good and you definitely can smoke young, assuming you dry-box them before you smoke. Even ERDM, based on my late experience with demi tasse.
  12. Bolivar Royal Corona 2021
  13. For short term, I believe just leave it as it is. For long term storage and aging, it’s better to relocate it to a proper humidor, before keeping it inside the walk in or fridge. Will be much better if the humidor is Elie Bleu or another great built humidor, especially if you’re keeping cigars in that price range LoL
  14. That’s amazing. Congrats for your great choice 😄
  15. Lusi and esplendidos definitely, if price is not an issue. Considering the current price, I would pick lusi and RyJ Churchill.
  16. Considering the rH is constant, increased temperature will decrease the percent moisture content in the cigar, hence the cigar became drier. So A it is.
  17. I’m curious with the relationship between Rh, temperature, absolute humidity, dew point, and vapor-pressure deficit in relation to the percent moisture content of the cigar. Would be happy to get the scientific explanation about this issue 😄
  18. Fonseca Cosacos to start the weekend 😄
  19. Based on my study at FOH, lowering down the temperature along with the rH will not make the cigar dry, since the percent moisture content will increase. A cigar will be dried out if we lower the rH only while keeping the temperature a bit high. Is my understanding correct @PigFish?
  20. That seems about what I’ve experienced. BRC after 10 years tend to decline in flavor, in my experience. Personally I wouldn’t consider Bolivar to be aged long term, although still curious what will happen after the second maturation took place in the next 25+ years LoL
  21. How’s the price there? Was it still cheaper compared to global price?
  22. Apart from BBF, I’m not sure about aging Bolivar long term. At least BPC, BCJ and BRC don’t show a promising long term aging for me. Curious to know what others might think about this.
  23. Cool, I’m based in Jakarta. We should meet up sometimes. I also only trust 2 sources. I believe our sources are the same LoL
