In comparison to La Trova? Since similar sizes, which would you recommend??

Does that one stick quantify the extra 100+ dollar increase? I’ve been particularly interested in the Siglo line however I heard they’re more mild compared to the normal production cohibas? So better value/flavor with the trini?

I have sampled two/ three of the Reyes. LOVED those little guys. I felt more medium/mild on strength and body but they were both after a decent lunch. I figure the Fundies would give me more time to sit back and enjoy than the quicker 40min Reyes. Any thoughts on the coloniales? Our host always has amazing descriptors on 24:24 but have been hesitant on pulling the trigger.

I feel you on that one, I typically go for 38/43/46 rg. But I feel a lot of the cubans are 52/54/56. Trying to broaden my knowledge of these cigars I don't know too much about. In the NC world there are a plethora of lanceros to choose from. I feel that it is kinda lacking in the CC market. Just trying to keep my options open

Hey Pete, already have some RASS, BBF, RyJ 4s, Dip2s, HdM epi 2s, and Party D4s in my line up. Since CC take a little time to rest and she I’m looking to secure a box to put down to enjoy a year or two from now. typically like med-full body/flavor And med+ strength. NCs have more of that pepper and strength on them. I have a bunch to go thru. But looking for those smooth complexities that come from CCs. If that helps at all. also been interested in cohiba Siglos/Robustos but I figured the longer skinnies would give me more flavor.

Hey @Chas.Alpha, thanks for the reply! I burned one.. it wasn’t bad kinda bland mild smoke, wasn’t miraculous. Started getting bitter about halfway thru. I have no basis to judge a legit cohiba against the ones that I bought. And the price tag on the CoRos is slightly making me hesitant on pulling the trigger. But from what I tasted I think it was cheaper cigar that was rebanded. Who knows I’ll let them sleep and maybe hand them out and use them as yard gars.

Hey guys! New to the forum and CC as a whole, moving away from the NC sticks as there is a little more to love in the subtleties of the CC. Ive done a whole bunch of research and landed on this beautiful site, and slowly my bank account has been draining LOL. I purchased a couple boxes from our host; some to age and some to enjoy now, based of recommendations from the community and my dad. Current humi is about at capacity. The pics below are my set up and collection. Keeping at around 66F and 68Rh. But I do love the long skinnies, and have been wondering (since they’re so damn expensive: 25-33 a stick) what the best course of action is. I have only the room/money for 1 or 2 more boxes depending on price. 1) Cohiba Esplendidos 2) Cohiba Lancero 3) H. Upmann Sir Winston 4) Trinidad Fundadores 5) 2 boxes of Punch 898 or any other recommendations for great sticks to look into would be greatly appreciated, as I’m new to them all. Friend of mine picked them up at the “airport in Cuba”. Sliced one open and they’re all long filler with double binders but can’t bring myself to toss them just yet.
