I was slightly hesitant to light this up as it is my only one, a gift from a dear friend. No better time than the present, right?! I have been intrigued with this GR and equally as intrigued with the World Series matchup between two young and hungry teams. This cigar is special. Right off the bat big flavor, great depth and all the smooth elegance you would expect from a GR. As you can see, the burn line is razor sharp with densely perfectly stacked ash. Very early on in the cigar you know you are in for a winner. Kaleidoscope of flavors from florals, sweetness, chocolate- they’re all there for a beautiful experience. Game 1 of the World Series added fireworks to this cigar experience. Instant classic. I was thankful that I took the plunge on lighting this baby up, because Game 1 was equally as impressive as this very special stick I cannot recommend enough! Cheers!!

My brother and I have often debated ROTT or nott as we usually split most orders from FOH. I definitely understand the logic in letting cigars rest after traveling a long way with varying temperatures and altitudes- but when these show up at your door..... ROTT all the way! The overall smoke was pleasant, had all the DNA of a lusi I love, but not fully developed as the cigar was young. Still, rich in the classic lusi flavors that you know will only get better with time. Very enjoyable. Outside of the sheer excitement of trying a stick ROTT, smoking cigars very young and ROTT has helped train my palate to help better identify changes in flavors and progression as the cigar fully acclimates to my humi and ages. The excitement I get when a box of cigars is finally delivered heightens my senses to a point where I find myself enjoying the cigar more than I otherwise am when I smoke a cigar from a box that I held off on smoking ROTT. ROTT is a special feeling indeed!

D4 are so solid. The first Havana cigar that caught my undivided attention. Everyone I share one with loves it. The flavor is so consistent - only one box has disappointed, it was from ‘16. Something was missing, flavors were muted. Other than that outlier, an absolute star at a price point you can’t beat.

I’m a big Tigers fan. Not expecting a ton, but we have some nice young pieces that should be fun to watch this year.

Heard the hype, bought a box, let them rest 3 months- tried one and was underwhelmed to say the least. Anytime this happens I leave them alone for 6-9 months before revisiting. This stick developed into a solid option. Coffee creamy in the beginning with a peppery spice and an uptick in strength. For the price, this stick is a winner and I see what all the hype is about. Definitely most improved for me, happy I was patient with her!

This is a stick that immediately gives me a great feeling. I know construction is on point, draw is right where I like it- effortless, but enough resistance to hold its ground and not overheat. I can best describe the flavors as creamy vanilla graham cracker to start transitioning to some earthy barnyard towards the end. One of the first Cuban cigars I experienced showing off the Cuban twang. Size wise, at a 46 ring gauge/143 it’s pretty versatile. My go to through and through. Pairs wonderfully with anejo tequila!- 7 replies

What do you do while you smoke?
Akd313 replied to SmokyFontaine's topic in Cigars Discussion Forum "the water hole"
It really depends for me. Smoking with family and friends is always a great time, but other times it's nice to smoke with nature. Tonight's cigar will take some sharp decision making- the cigar I smoke while drafting my fantasy football team for the year ?. Last year, I finally won the league and was smoking the La Escepcion Don Jose while drafting ... if that's any indicator of what it takes to repeat as champ, I will need to come with the heavy artillery tonight !! ? -
