  1. Not at all. Maybe if I add a 0 to my budget lol.
  2. Thanks for that link! I'm going to check them out. Definitely looking for something dressy/business style. Perfectly fine with quartz, absolutely. Day and date is really all I would need as 'must haves'. From some of the reading I've done it sounds like Citizen is a quality maker too.
  3. I'm looking to get myself a watch, nothing too expensive or crazy but something nice that I can wear daily and have forever. Open to pretty much all styles. No more than $1,500 USD but I've seen a lot of nice looking pieces in the $500-$700 range too. Just don't know what I'm looking at LOL or what I should be looking for. Any of our esteemed members here have any suggestions on a quality timepiece I should look at? Or maybe some things I should be looking for in a watch? I have always loved the look of Movado, but I'm not sure of their standing or quality in the world of watches. I want to make a good decision if I'm spending a decent amount of money. Thank you all.
  4. Try just one, you might like them! Some really good tobacco being used these days
  5. Can find stats to support pretty much any argument. And of course there is the subconscious favoritism and bias that factors in, for example I think we have a tendency to remember players from our youth more fondly. Just going from my gut, without doing down the rabbit hole of stats and awards..... 1 - Tom Brady 2 - Peyton Manning 3 - Joe Montana 4 - Patrick Mahomes 5 - Aaron Rodgers 6 - Steve Young 7 - Drew Brees 8 - Johnny U 9 - Dan Marino 10 - John Elway
  6. I thought a lot of the information in there pertaining to aging, maturation, etc. wasn't really the most current anymore.
  7. I've heard people say that book is really out of date now with the new tobacco strains and the changes to the aging and curing process since the 80's and 90's. Thoughts?
  8. As someone who started heavy in NC world - if you’re going for a Fuente shark it’s gotta be either the Opus or the Añejo. I prefer the Opus over the Añejo personally. For this line the Don Carlos line, the star of the show by a mile is the Personal Reserve, it’s a Robusto. Absolutely worthy of getting a couple singles if you can find them. 9. Tough thing to think about, but I had 2 very close calls last year with surgery complications. I went back in this year to have things fixed and this topic was heavy on my mind this time around. If something did happen, my wife (stay at home mom) could have a decent chunk of change that would help tremendously. So with my meticulous records, I spreadsheet my collection in excel. I’ve been watching recent private sales and BR sales, I came up with pricing for each cigar I own. I left this spreadsheet with my brother and gave him instructions to reach out here and a couple of other places to help offload them. Very hard to think about, but a $30k collection can go a long long way. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. It's redundant AND it means the same thing
  11. overserve verb over·serve ˌō-vər-ˈsərv overserved; overserving; overserves 1 transitive : to provide (someone or something) with more of a product, service, etc., than is needed or appropriate : OVERSERVICE He appeared to be overserved by the tone of his messages … .—FOH Community
  12. Couple things here: first - don't be an a-hole when you're trying to get someone to help you! In this case you want the vendor to refund your purchase, you need to come at them politely. Would you want to help someone who came at you in a rude manner? Amazes me how many people call customer service and talk to these people like dirt. second - taste alone can't be the judge of authenticity. This is a natural product, it's not a can of Pepsi. If he can prove to this vendor they are fake, I would expect any legitimate business to refund the product. third - he raised 4 issues with this vendor previously, as recently as two months ago......and he still went a made a $2k+ purchase of the most faked cigar on planet earth? I mean, some people's greed is just too much for logic to contend with. The movie Boiler Room comes to mind, get a whale on the phone and their greed does the rest, they can't resist giving up their kid's college tuition money for the chance to see more dollar signs. Every Cohiba I own was bought from Rob right here on FOH. I sleep like a baby at night.
  13. "Overall decent" has been my motto this year. Glad to hear you're looking at it glass half-full! What else are we gonna do, tell everybody how miserable we are?!?!?! 😆 Does getting off the pump mean things are going in a good direction and you're finishing up treatment?
  14. Have asked this question before but it pertained to thinner gauge cigars and the response I got was that it was not uncommon on thinner gauge cigars because many times a larger band gets trimmed to fit the thin gauge and that code gets cut off. They were sticks I got here so I really never gave much more thought to it after that.
  15. How are you feeling bro?
  16. Point is after all that rage and shooting beer cans on his social media, he still had it "available" for sale in his restaurant. That's just laughable. I say we drink whatever we want, though. How about you? PS - Bud, Bud Light, Coors Light are disgusting IMO
  17. Also served the entire time at the restaurant he owns in Nashville......"F Bud Light - unless it makes me money!" https://www.billboard.com/music/music-news/kid-rock-nashville-bar-serving-bud-light-dylan-mulvaney-controversy-1235370125/
  18. Juan Lopez #1 or SLR Regios. As @MrBirdman said though, vintage port I drink on it's own with dessert.
  19. 1% Cuban. 99% non-cuban. Mostly davidoff and the hard to find Fuente stuff. If I'm gonna be gouged I at least want a cigar that's going to have decent construction. Imagine my disappointment when my brother and I had to toss 2 VR Unicos the other day because they were tent pegs. No thanks
  20. Sorry to bring this back from the dead! I was doing some reading about the SLR's and I thought this comment was interesting. What's the thought process behind this and is it common practice?
  21. I have seen dozens of boxes with the warranty seal and the tax seal misaligned. Not a problem. Cuba has consistency and QAQC issues. Nothing new. But these are fake. The warranty seal is a lighter colored green to me, the barcode you said checks out to the wrong box of cigars, the stamp on the bottom is a font that doesn't look legitimate, and the box overall just doesn't look right. The capper is of course that these are Cohiba Sig VI. Not many people faking Quinteros but Cohiba with all of those issues? Major red flags. Also, good luck finding anything else with the factory code "CKM" On another note - regarding the theory of cigars falling off the truck when they leave the factory - was that ever a real thing or was my wife's cousin's neighbor's son lying 😁
  22. I was thinking the same. I think that's even worse! Security is pretty good getting into the facility and then getting into your unit, at least from the self storage places I've used. I think the cigars are probably fine unless they've been left outside
