  1. Passing through Dubai for work last week and same situation with the LCDH Dutyfree T3 stock. The ONLY sticks of any decent ring gauge sitting there are NC's and Trinidad Vigia. I actually had a conversation on the very subject of the pricing for the Vigia with another cigar smoker in there and we both agreed they are shooting themselves in the foot with those prices. I had a couple of boxes in the past. The first box was sensational, second not so much. It's disappointing to say the least either way. No more trinidad for moi!
  2. I can echo the Saigon recommendation. Loads of roof top bars, regular pubs etc you can smoke and enjoy. Summer of 2016 was a nice one with visits to Amsterdam, Paris and Barcelona. Enjoyed smokes in all 3 places. Barca comes out on top. I'd say Amsterdam a close 2nd (weather permitting) because I prefer the Dutch attitude in general to the French. I actually received a lot of respect from door security guys (of all people...) in Amsterdam since we were sitting outside a "cafe" with lots of smokers of the green variety. I was the only one sitting enjoying an H.Up 56 - a comment along the lines of "the world is yours my friend, the world is yours" I live in Bangkok and it's also good for outdoor smoking (when not too humid) - point to note that whisky/cigar bars are starting to pop up all over the place. Oh, and happy new year to all.
  3. I'm with you on the robustos.
  4. Decky, very expensive. Bring your own from elsewhere. If you're passing through the middle east, dubai has nice stock. It's mostly where I've picked up my CC so far. Bangkok has some very decent cigar bars though. Do a Google
  5. Checkin in to say to all at FOH. I've already made the mistake of posting in the wrong section as a Newbie intro. I think that's about as Newbie as you can get (hangs head in shame). Great forum, great business model and not to forget the superb reviews on YouTube which is what brought me here in the first place. Here's me enjoying a nice double edmundo on the veranda looking out towards east of Bangkok last night during a typical thai rainy season hunder storm. Cheers! Edit: sideways pic. Newbie strike 2
