  2. Buying CC since late 1980s, storing them and smoking occasionally my experience is as follows Cohiba Esplendidos,Cohiba Lanceros,Cohiba Coronas Especiales middle to late 90s production age great. Love to smoke them, not too many left All Siglo, with the exception of VI after 10-12 years lose most of their qualities Other great aging cigars HdM Double Coronas and Punch DC. Have 20+ years boxes and everytime I smoke one of them is like heaven! HdM des Dieux from 2003 mixed feelings HdM du Roi from 2005 still very good smokes Upmann 50 LE from 2005 excellent Partagas only D4 and Charlottes seem to age well Montecristo No. 1 From Romeo Y Julieta Cazadores from 2003 (surprise) and Cedros de Luxe from 1997 very good. Churchill from 2005 Big dissapointments Punch Punch Montecristo Double Edmundo This is so far my experience but I am still stocking Cohiba Coronas, HdM DC and I am on the lookout for Punch DC

  9. You can order the Por Larranaga from LCDH Hamburg, www.thecigarsmoker.com . I have one box in the mail.
  10. Speaking on RR try to get a hold of a 50 cigars cab of Por Larranaga Coronas Regional Edition Alemania (Germany) 2018
  11. Montecristo Especiales No. 2 REG ENE 18 Excellent!!! MSU and UAO 2018 codes excellent also so far
  12. Started smoking from a box code RMU May 16. Excellent right now will be amazing in a couple of years.
  13. Was in Portugal two weeks ago and one employee of La Casa Havaneza advised me to get the last box of Coloniales they had since there will be no more in the future!
  14. Actually the old Davidoff store, where Lindt chocolates store is now had a much wider selection of CC, including limited editions, along with hard to find cigars such Cohiba Lanceros and/or Especiales. This one is in a corner inside the Duffy store at the end of the store and you have to ask to find it..
  15. Being there last week. Don’t believe the hype! Poor selection of Cuban cigars, no limited editions and price wise more expensive than LCDH shops in Germany, Holland and Portugal!
  16. Thanks for the info. So they are not rolled at El Laguito for sure!
  17. Today got two boxes of Talisman with MSU NOV17 code. Does anybody know anything about this code?
  18. Thanks for your post. I thought I was the only one with two very bland SLBs Epicure Especial ROE NOV 16
  19. Just Received a box of robustos anejados. Could not resist so I tried one. No review just some thoughts. 1. very good cigar 2. Now way this is an Upmann robusto. not even an upmann blend. 3. More a Partagas blend than anything else. In my mind this was rolled as a Partagas D4 but with a lighter wrapper and left aside. Factory code is BUA JUL 11 One last thing. Retail of upmann robusto anejado 315 euro. Retail price of Partagas D4 2016 and 2017 production 290 euro. It is not a bad price even for an aged Partagas
  20. In Amsterdam best choice is the LCDH. Ask for Julian to help you and do not hesitate to ask him about cigars you do not see available on the shelves. Hajenius is worth the visit but you will not find the CC selection you will find in LCDH
  21. I have smoked at least one dozen boxes of PE since 2012 when I was introduced to this cigar, while in Cuba. It is true that is probably one the cigars with the best price/quality ratio but keep in mind the following: PE has a length of 140 and a ring gauge of 40. Similar dimensions cigars are H. Upmann Majestic, Partagas Deluxe Tubos, Partagas Super Partagas, Romeo Y Julietta No. 1 and maybe a few more. For such brands, under the $150 per box of 25, branding is not decided at the time of rolling but rather at the time of packaging, and is based on plenty of factors. Keep in mind also that Hoyos and Partagas are produced mostly at the same factory. So one day it might be Palmas Extra, the next Partagas Super. What really differentiates Palmas is the wrapper color, that is darker than Partagas Super and a slight blend difference. But if the demand for Palmas is in one week lets say 100 boxes but the boxes with the dark wrappers are only 90 then some Partagas boxes will be branded Palmas. The best thing to do is when you buy them in a store is to open the box and check it. Other thing is when you find a batch you like buy as many boxes of that batch as possible. If you buy online then things are not easy, just request the darker wrapper possible. Still not easy. I will give you a recent example. One of the best Palmas tasted the last four years are boxes coded MUL FEB15. Last week I came across, in LCDH store a box coded MUL MAY15, so I bought it without checking. This box is right now unsmokable, not only a very light non oily wrapper, full of green dots but also taste full of ammonia.
