  1. I agree Prez, one of the best cigars ever. Even those from a nov 09 box i have are ready and smoking great.
  2. Oh my god Peter Griffin
  3. Grande Espana! I am happy the red furies won, they deserved it on many levels. What a team! I am looking forward to brighter days for Italy, in the meanwhile let Spain enjoy their first World Cup.
  4. DEUTSCHLAND!!!! What a show! I started watching the match rooting for Argentina (because of Diego) and ended up totally fascinated by the incredible football these young Germans are able to deliver. This is the new football: young players, a few "senators" (Klose, Podolsky) and an incredible team-play. In my opinion Germany represents a role model for football today. Even Bundesliga is not entangled in all the horrible money-slave dynamics we suffer in Serie A in Italy or in Spanish Liga. Thumbs up!
  5. Enjoy your trip! I'd love to get some Siglo VI with a MEL or CLE code...
  6. I'm astounded. To break up my feeling of nothingness in comparison to the vast and marvellous reaches of space, I throw a guess: how do cigars age in light-years? Does the void possess the right conditions for storing cigars? And...I'll be honest: when I read "how big is the Milky Way" I expected to see a pic of huge boobs
  7. Germany is an amazing team. Watching them play football makes me feel better at the horrible performance of Italy. And of course, as a SSC Napoli supporter, my heart goes with Diego and his amazing Argentina!
  8. They rightly define this generation of Mexican footballers the "golden generation": they are amazing and deserve going far.
  9. Our history is surely a catenaccio one, especially 1982 Italy. Gosh. This World Cup is a real headache from the point of view of predictions. Lots of unexpected good teams and favourites slowly drifting away...
  10. I beg to differ. Nobody plays like that in Serie A anymore. The Azzurri are also going to play differently. Against Paraguay we had a pretty offensive tactic. It will get better, for sure. On the other hand, I am also a fan of Dutch Total Football, but that lacks experience in the defensive dept.
  11. No on both questions. Don't know why I never felt attracted by the marca. But I have been gifted an outstanding Corona Gigante from 1998 which was excellent. And I have another CG from 2001 in the humidor. Those I like and I'd buy a box for sure!!
  12. You can say that again! Stratospheric Switzerland.
  13. I remember a similar discussion some time ago, it's good to be talking about an important brand like Cuaba. It's a love it or hate it brand. I personally love it, including the infamous Salomones (I remeber the "hint of urine" review of the Prez some time ago ). But I totally agree with Rob: 1) Cut quantities! This is a niche brand. 2) Only keep the distinctive formats: Divinos, Distinguidos, Salomones & Diademas. 3) Quality control!
  14. Thumbs up for the US team which almost managed to bring a victory home. But let Rooney, Lampard & co. warm up and they are going to put up a hell of a show. Same goes for Argentina. Did you see what Messi did? Looked like what happened to Rooney. *The* two best strikers around. Nigeria wasn't that bad, actually them and South Africa have diplayed the most amazing goalkeepers so far. Martins and Obinna: thumbs up! South Korea: just amazing. Keep an eye on them. Greece: sorry lads but you need a generational turn-over. Gekas alone won't do the trick anymore. Uruguay: needs to find pace. As long as the coach keeps Cavani (Palermo) and Gargano (Napoli) on the bench they won't have that much chance. Forlan needs assistance. France: boooooooooooring. An outdated team. I can't see them progressing that much in this World Cup.
  15. Italian papers just wrote she was found and rescued.
  16. I am accustomed to Kurzweil's theories but I am very sceptical. Not because of the themes he deals with, but mostly because of Kurzweil's attitude to the subject. 1. He is obsessed with the immortality of the body. So most of his research his done because he sees biological death as the source of all evil. In my view one should better try to improve living standards than anything else. 2. He has an almost religious faith in science. Sounds quite a contradiction but that's what I perceive from his books. He looks like having this "apocalyctic-end of days" view on that "singularity" event that should change humanity forever. In my opinion things are changing. But uniting mind and machine doesn't look like a viable alternative to me. I am not a 100% science nerd neither I am a 100% religious fanatic. I am a rational and a spiritual person and Kurzweils theories sounds a bit creepy to both sides of "me"
  17. Great joke But on a more serious note, is it only me who finds surgery-modified-enhanced-etc breasts totally unattractive??
  18. I tried a Gran Edmundo at the Amicigar fest last week, and it is surely very promising despite the young age. In 1-2 years it will already be very very ready. The nature of the blend seemed leaning towards the mellow and aromatic side more then toward strength. Very interesting smoke.
  19. Thanks Gino! I was so proud to be a part of this! The Maravilla was an amazing cigar, powerfully aromatic and interesting from beginning to end. The Gran Edmundo is very, very promising but not ready yet (let's be serious, we smoked a March 2010 box!!). It's probably going to be tangy, sweet and aromatic, more in the vein of its cousin Siglo VI than his Monte breed, but that's maybe an early prediction. Thanks Gino & Antonio, and of course we're looking forward to having Rob and Lisa here next year and hopefully Austin, Chris and all my friend from this forum.
  20. Adorini in my experience is a very low-quality brand when it comes to humidors. And senselessly pricey too. I got an Adorini which, after 2 years, still smells some horrid quality of wood. I left it open for weeks, cleaned and washed it with whiskey, nothing. It still stinks. I advice Marconi if one wants to spend money AND have great quality. I have both a Marconi cupboard-humidor and a desktop humy. Both very much worth the money.
  21. Congrats to Inter!! Great match and superlative Milito. Inter will be great also after Mou. He taught the team something that goes beyond tacticism. I just hope Milito will stay in Serie A. Next year SSC Napoli in Europa League: Forza Mazzarri!!
  22. If one is in a bad mood I'd say to check this thread regularly, it will surely cheer you up!!! Thanks for sharing and happy multiples of 20 years to you and your wife!
  23. Thx for the review, been looking for them for ages! Would like to know where to get a box.
