  1. Good to see some pictures, fondly reminds me of times gone by. I remember liking Punch Churchills better than DC's, especially cabinets.
  2. It’s 13.6274904%. It’s science!
  3. Darren Bennett used to be our man in San Diego for the Chargers. I do think he had a significant impact on the game with his booming punts.
  4. I’m a pretty slow smoker. I don’t care for the hot sensation if I smoke too fast. But I will say that smoking outside in the wind can dramatically shorten times. As can watching an exciting movie! PC/Robusto - 1 hour #2 - 90 min DC - 2:15ish Churchill - Somewhere between DC and #2, but ALWAYS too short
  5. The album version of Creeping Death was already posted, but this live version is the greatest of all time for me:
  6. Yes but more so in the past. I kind of regret pounding that box of 2014 Cohiba Lanceros all those years ago! Same with the last box of Partagas 898's I bought back in 2017 before Cigarmageddon. But they sure were good
  7. Great game for Washington. I have to think that when Goff got popped on that run back, he wasn't all the way in there for the rest of the game. But also have to wonder what he was doing down there anyway?
  8. I loved him as an A and was just stoked when he came to San Diego. Ricky and Tony Gwynn on one team! While that was not the prime of his career, he was exciting to watch.
  9. @Chas.Alpha seriously look for an RC club near you. There are plenty of experienced pilots that can teach you how to fly safely, without the fly-crash-fly cycle associated with teaching yourself. The AMA website has a registry of clubs. I learned to fly models at age 8 when my dad taught me. It sparked an interest that eventually landed me in glider competitions. I won the national championships twice and went to the worlds as a pilot on the US team. I have been a professional RC/UAV pilot since 1995, flying everything with wings or rotors as well as control line, cars, boats, drones, you name it. I am an aerospace engineer and that is in no small part because of model aviation.
  10. It REALLY pisses me off when hot rods get noise tickets and Harley's blast around at obscene noise levels without any consequences.
  11. I think I went through 3 boxes. I don't remember how much they cost at the time. I wish I had saved some. To me they were good but a touch muted when young.
  12. I don't think you guys are taking my comments in the spirit intended. I am actually quite interested in the vacuum bagging experiments. For sure certain packing helps slow aging so I'm sure bagging up your boxes is working. Being an engineer, I like to understand the mechanism at play. I also like to fish and packing fresh fish is something where getting as much vacuum as possible helps keep it fresh for a very long time. The guys who do that regularly use chamber vacuums and THICK bags to get nearly a full vacuum before sealing. It makes a big difference over the food saver machines. But even those leak over time. As I said earlier, it would be an interesting experiment to use a commercial housing and REALLY pull a full vacuum. Unfortunately for all of us, by the time we understand that impact it will probably be a long time from now.
