  1. Where from in NY? I'm just outside NYC.
  2. This is very disappointing as there are many cigars on this list I would have liked to try and probably won't get to before they are discontinued.
  3. I think sometimes people hear "should of" when someone is really trying to say "should've" which isn't a proper contraction anyway. It is basically slang.
  4. I have trouble bringing out one or two distinct flavors, never mind five in one third of the cigar alone! I need to step up my game.
  5. The biggest problem I have with NC's is a lack of complexity. For the most part, and there are exceptions, but for the most part NC's are one trick ponies. As for bitterness, you get that with CC's if they are very young the same as you do with NC's. I find that your average NC is grubby, almost like a cigarette but of better quality if that makes sense. I can say one thing as this happened to me; if you start to smoke CC's regularly you won't want to spend as much of your money on NC's. I love a Padron every once in a while but I just can't justify spending a large percentage of my cigar money on NC's anymore.
  6. Monte 2 definitely come in three packs. I got one from a reputable source as an add on to my order. The boxes I paid for were definitely real so I wouldn't think they would send me a fake three pack.
  7. I did the same thing. I bought my first box (LGC MdO No. 2) and was told to let it sit. I left it in my humidor for over a month for fear it wouldn't smoke the way it should and I wouldn't get the full CC flavor and experience. The next batch of boxes I got I tried one immediately upon receiving the delivery and one a month later...They both tasted very similar. Monte 4, smoke one. You'll enjoy it.
  8. YES! Send a couple down range for me.
  9. I second this, still love my country though.
  10. See what non-Cubans do? They bring out the worst in all of us and make us fight with each other. Now I have another reason I don't like them anymore...
  11. I've started to have the same issue with NC's as Rob brought up about complexity. I have rationed up enough Cubans that I can smoke them on a more regular basis than I was once able to and the complexity and "journey" they bring is what, IMO, sets them apart from most NC. Again just my opinion but your average Cuban cigar whether it be RyJ, Partagas, whatever, delivers more at it's price than a comparably priced non cuban. I feel that in order to get complexity and balance in non cubans you have to spend a lot more money and if I'm going to spend $15 or $20 bucks a cigar it better deliver, not merely meet the standard. There are always exceptions but these are my experiences.
  12. I haven't had a problem with it. Some of my shipments were in transit over two weeks in July and August last year and they were just fine. Just give them some time in the humidor before you start smoking them, let them sit in a stable environment.
  13. New York 27 Mbps down - 24 Mbps up
  14. Generally if it's spotty like that you can rule out plume.
