  1. I can honestly say the candied cigarettes and bubblegum cigars were in no way a gateway to my tobacco consumption as an adult. It was, perhaps, a gateway to my diabetes...🙄
  2. I remember candied cigarettes and bubblegum cigars back in the 70's. I don't remember the brand name, though.
  3. He was great in so many roles. He was especially good at playing jerks or a-holes. Probably why I liked him some much...😁
  4. After the trial he dedicated his life to finding his wife's killer...one golf course at a time.
  5. I enjoy that blend as well as their French Roast. Years ago, Tully's French Roast was my fave but the blend has significantly changed and now it's meh, at best. I have toyed with the idea of trying the Nespresso, but I'm the only one in my house that drinks coffee. It just doesn't seem worth the expense. I have my Aeropress for days I really want to treat myself.
  6. I thought he would sing like a canary.
  7. I saw Grease at a drive in back in the 70's with my parents. Wife and I took the kids to see Wonder Woman 1984 at a drive in a few years ago. Cool experience, terrible movie.
  8. Someone definitely needs to chill...lol
  9. The tipping culture is absurd in the US, imo. What is strange to me is that people will bitch and moan about the cost of taxes, insurance, and food, but will gladly throw in a 20% tip on top of an overpriced fast food meal without even thinking about.
  10. As a Healthcare worker, I felt the initial mandates were necessary. They were never political for me. I felt it was imperative to try and reduce the strain on our Healthcare system. Our's was not prepared for what was about to come in Spring of 2020 and quite frankly still hasn't recovered to this day. Staffing shortages, especially RN's, plague hospitals and clinics nationwide and in some areas severely limit their ability to care for all patients. Thankfully, I don't see us going down that road again with covid, although it will continue to hang around. Thanks to vaccines and natural immunity, the rate of new cases, severe illness and death have dropped significantly from their peaks in 2020 and 2021. If something new came along that we weren't ready for, then yes, I would do the whole mask thing again, especially at work. Hopefully, it won't be anytime soon, but regardless, I would still do what I felt was necessary to protect others.
  11. I literally just finished watching it a few minutes ago.
  12. Not a Washington fan but I am happy the fans of that organization. What a sucky, putrid, dysfunctional 25 years that must have been. I can't imagine what you must be feeling right now. Your long nightmare is finally over.
  13. My favorite scene in the movie.
  14. Why would he want to go to this organization? I get that he wants to prove himself but this is not the place to do it. I know, as a Texans fan, I'm in no place to judge about another team's dysfunction, but still...
  15. I've never tested positive. I work in Healthcare, and have been exposed multiple times, but have never caught it...yet. I'm sure my luck will run out eventually. My daughter had the Delta variant a couple of years ago but her symptoms were fortunately mild. I had a nasty spell of bronchitis last May and figured my luck had ended, but mult negative tests proved otherwise.
  16. Could not have said it any better myself.
  17. I agree. This movie set s new standard and was not formulaic in the least. Not something you can say for it's numerous sequels. Also, it just isn't Christmas until you see Hans Gruber fall from Nakatomi Plaza.
  18. Perhaps the greatest Christmas movie of all time.
  19. Never been a Cohiba fan but I love this cigar. It's incredibly consistent and always an amazing, rich smoking experience. Given the current price point of these cigars I will be hoarding what's left of my stash for a long time.
  20. Only blunt roller ever to get carpal tunnel syndrome.
  21. Great film. What's amazing to me is Welles was only 25 when this film was made. He also directed and, I believe, co-wrote the screenplay. An incredible feat for any age, much less 25.
  22. Did not care for this movie. It neglected to mention the stars already on the roster, mainly their incredible starting rotation that were integral in that team's success. I also hated how they portrayed Art Howe. Probably one of the most decent men in baseball and they portray him as a money grubbing buffoon. I was conflicted because I was and still a fan of Phillip Seymour Hoffman (r.i.p.).
  23. Quail are very tasty. They're just so darned small it takes 3 or 4 to make a meal, but they ate excellent table fare.
  24. I have not caught it yet. I figure it's only a matter of time. Somewhat of a surprise I haven't got it yet because I am a health care worker and have been exposed multiple times. My daughter had the Delta variant in June of 2021. She was only 10 so her symptoms were fortunately very mild.
