Todays review will be 98' Saint Luis Rey Lonsdales (50 Cab) It has been many years since I have had one these cigars, I remember the last time I smoked one it was really good. But I was not prepared for how much this cigar has changed, the depth, body, flavor almost overwhelming! Just the look of these cigars sitting in a beautiful large wooden 50 cabinet is the first thing the hits you and lets you know that you are going to be in for a treat. I reach in and pull one out, it is light in my hand and the wrapper has a silky feel to it. I bring it to my nose and the smell is intoxicating pure honey. I clip it and the draw is perfect and the pre-light taste is of sweet honey and fruit. I start the toasting process and then take the first puff, I know this not the same cigar I had smoked many years ago. The 1st third is like wild berries becoming richer with each puff! The 2nd third I am getting Chocolate Orange and sweet dark chocolate building in intensity. The last 3rd the flavors and getting so much richer bring in molasses, the smoke has almost become chewy and heavy. It is almost overwhelming, overpowering, intense but in a good way. This has become a very special cigar, smoking this cigar is an indulgent flavor journey where time stands still! It has been a true pleasure to have seen these cigar age into what can only be described as euphoric! Heavenly31 points

MOFOH Robusto Trinity Absolutely phenomenal cigar. Easy 94/95 points. Chose this for my birthday cigar and I’m so glad I did. Construction/Draw and Burn have been fantastic, zero issues. Lit this cigar up and haven’t had to touch it since with the lighter. 10/10! 1st third - I got lots of woody/cedar notes, very smooth, no spice. Some cream and coffee notes started to come on later in the first third. Light medium strength. A hint of citrus and bready notes as well. 2nd third - I was hit with heavy notes of cream, starting to taste the cocoa and leather. Citrus is hanging around as well. I would say I taste the citrus more on the retrohale. Same level of strength. 3rd and final third - I feel like I’m smoking a leather bomb! I love it! Very smooth, cocoa and chocolate are definitely there too. Super happy that I grabbed a 25ct of these and definitely will come back for more! Im reaching the end and gonna do my best to smoke it down to the last little bit, I'm leaning towards a 95 point grade, Amazing! These have been acclimating in my humidor for 30 days. Can’t wait to keep trying them after 60, 90 and on and on! Great job Rob, Hamlet and the Fabrica5 team!27 points

Last night I enjoyed my first cigar(s) of 2026. (I’d intended on just one ) Up to now, I’ve bought into -- and enjoyed -- starting and ending each year with one of the latest “year of” releases from Davidoff. For 2026, that’s the “Year of the Horse” (of course, of course ) This Davidoff is big to me (55 RG) — same goes for its oversized pricing. I will say, the Year of the Horse had just an incredibly good start. Especially for such a new cigar, the opening was really something — complex and enjoyable, cocoa nibs, cedar and spices. But, after a while, it got kinda “samey” and boring. So much so, I was compelled to add another set of flavors: a little JL petite corona (MPE Abr 2010). Enjoying the two together brought the much-missing twang and I still occasionally turned back to the Davidoff’s singular complexity. They went well together! But I think I’m done chasing Davidoff’s new “Year of” cigars…as they keep getting bigger in size and price. Last night’s experience highlighted the wonders of a“little old” over a “lotta” new. A horse is a horse. Thank goodness for little old CCs.26 points

Padron Maduro Churchill. I was gifted this by my brother who's a huge Padron fan. It's quite good, milder than most Cubans that I've smoked and not as much smoke as Cuban tobacco, but otherwise good construction and very easy to smoke. I hope everybody had a Merry Christmas and has a safe and happy New Year.26 points
