Good topic. Whenever I am on Youtube watching a documentary on Cuba or cigars, I hear this great music in the background. Cuban music, appropriate for cigar smoking. Not the Latin music you hear generally, salsa etc. Anyone have specific artists or groups that fit the bill? Nothing too modern but more traditional sound. I would love to download some of the music for my personal enjoyment.

Rarely is anything in the US done for the good of the people. If something good comes from policy it is pure chance and coincidence. Everything is a chess game for future political gain. It is unfortunate to have such a cynical approach but experience is the best teacher.

Simple. Economic war on Russia because of Ukraine, Crimea...etc Saudi Arabia does not just make decisions without US directive. The West is putting pressure on any country that is close to Russia or has any ideas of dealing with them. Russia's Southstream pipeline thwarted by Europe because it competed with the EU sponsored Nabucco pipeline. Only reason Russia survived during the 90s was oil price increases. Russia's fault for relying on oil primarily and not building a modern industrial state. They should look at Norway and see what a smart country does with oil reserves.

Easts (Sydney Roosters) I use to live off Bondi Beach as a kid, so adopted them as my team. My favorite scene in Fatal Attraction was the boiling rabbit. Interestingly I could never get into Union.

I sincerely hope the taste comes back to you. It has no for me. As you, I can taste all the foods, smell the flowers, but cigars, very limited. I went through a bad round of sinus infections in 2010 and that completely ruined my cigar smoking experience. For about 3 years, no matter what cigar I had, it was misery. I do not take any meds. I occasionally, once a month, use a decongestant spray when my sinuses get stuffy. I am finally able to enjoy a woody flavored cigar, but have no sense for sweet, creamy, honey or anything like that. I use to love tasting the cherry flavor on some RyJs, now nothing. Only cigar that I find 100% enjoyable, believe it or not, is the Padron. The Padron profile apparently agrees with me, however, I am not sure what the true profile of Padron really is since I never had one prior to my sinus issues. All the rest, a crap shoot. I am sure your predicament is not as bad as mine and I hope you get back to normal soon.

I lived in Sydney back in the 80s as a kid, right off of Bondi Beach, so my allegiance was always with the Easts (Roosters) as they were know at the time. Manly was always the brute nobody wanted to face, besides all of the other cardinal directions S, N, W. I guess nothing has changed.

I have definitely had that "ash tray mouth" taste the next day after smoking some inferior NCs. Never licked an ash tray, but presume that is how it would taste! Never happened with a CC. Not to say that every CC has been stellar, but even the bad ones never left my mouth tasting foul the next day. When I read the title it did seem as a funny title someone would use to denigrate NC cigars, but reading on, the post definitely did not intend that. I guess having a bad cigar is similar to having hot/spicy food or similar that can adversely affect the pallet.
