hebbe72 Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 Can anyone help me with this? I have a mule in Havana right now. Asked him to pick up a bundle of custom rolls at Conde de Villanueva. When asking for a receipt the staff refuses to give him one saying that these are not official cigars. If he buys them anyway, will he get in trouble trying to take them out of the country without a receipt? Any help appreciated.
hebbe72 Posted March 17, 2016 Author Posted March 17, 2016 Well, Smart ass comments is not what I wanted, but serious help. Can he bring a bundle of cigars through customs without proper documentation / receipts?
santela Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 Yes he can. I did exactly the same thing from the same place. As long as he doesn't bring more than 50 he'll be fine.
santela Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 I started a thread talking exactly about your situation, go take a look.
hebbe72 Posted March 17, 2016 Author Posted March 17, 2016 Thanks a lot. Message already passed on to mule. Let´s just hope he is still in Havana...

JohnInCleveland Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 It takes a great friend to be willing to bring an entire bundle of customs in his rectum back for you. *Everything I know about mules was learned from the movie "Blow." 2

It sure does. But I managed to get hold of him and if everything goes well I will shortly be the proud owner of a bundle. Let´s jsut hope that he realized that the bundle was too big and he decided to hide it elsewhere 1
Ryan Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 I get receipts, not Facturas, but receipts on some custom or shop rolled cigars. Monsdales for example. I can never remember getting one at Reynaldos though. I haven't had a problem getting cigars without receipts out of the country. No matter what the "official" figure is for cigars without receipts (it's on the Cuban customs web-page), you'll always be fine with 50 or less, depending how you react to any questions, should you be asked any, which is rare. I'm only talking about leaving Havana. What happens when you re-enter a home country, is up to the home-country.
topdiesel Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 Well, Smart ass comments is not what I wanted, Isn't it understood that only a smart ass would be able to comment? If you didn't want a smart ass you shouldn't have gotten one that could talk. 1
