I just acquired this below...

I will say that there is a clear "ping" when I open the lighter...

I am no expert but when I look at the bottom of the lighter, the engraving looks thin and badly made on the picture. Dupont are high end items and usually don't have cosmetic defaults. The stamping/engraving on real ones is clean, deep and pefect.

Another thing, serial numbers are printed one number at a time. Excerpt from a fake vs real faq:

each letter and number of the original is printed separately, hence the distance from the lower edge and the position of each letter and number is a bit different, also the distances between the letters and numbers are different.

On your box it says Stylo Plume which means pen in French.

The serial no. starting with 4FK appears to be the obvious tell tale sign that it is not genuine.

I call fake also. But then again, if you paid a "fair" price, and the lighter works, and you like it, then no worries. Life goes on. We all live and learn.
