I purchased this Raching MON2800A directly from one of the sales reps from Raching in early February 2025.
On the day of its arrival, it was very well contained in a full coverage wooden box/crate so I carefully inspected it for any damages before it was unloaded from the delivery truck. The packaging / crating showed zero signs of damages so it was unloaded and then I brought it into my house for un-crating and unboxing as it had multiple layers of protection.
Upon removing enough packaging material to expose its true condition, I first noticed that some of the drawers were not in their place. I then noticed the door frame had substantial damages so that it where I stopped unpacking it and started taking pictures of it.
I sent lots of pics to my Raching sales rep and this is where the NIGHTMARE started. They first had to check for " Issues ", then it was the " Blame Game ", then it became an issue where they wanted me to Accept a damaged and defective unit. This was a very long drawn out and aggravating process.
I later fully unwrapped the entire humidor and it revealed more damages and it exposed the Very poor quality of the entire build process from Raching of which the sales rep still blamed this on shipping. The paint itself had multiple pits or fisheye defects in it, the sides of the cabinet were badly warped / bowed ( The bottom left side of cabinet had about 3/4 inch gap difference from front to back), it was badly scratched everywhere and it looked like someone tried to wipe it down with sandpaper and then smeared it all over. Overall it also looked like it had sat in an open field due to the dirt on the bottom side compressor area.
When I expressed my initial concerns to the rep on the position of the drawers, I mentioned that it probably took a hard hit and that the body was probably twisted and damaged. She assured me ( From her location in China ) that this was not possible and there was no issues with it. Some of the interior pics in the front door opening area prove that it was in fact damaged. She also assured me that the poor build quality and paint issues could not have happened at the factory and that shipping was responsible for all of that.
I have sent many, many pics and had many, many emails back and forth to this sales rep in hopes to get this situation taken care of in a respectable and timely manner. Between this sales rep and other employees at Raching, they turned this into total regret as they would never just accept that they built and delivered something that they should have seen as a complete embarrassment to the company.
Overall, I have wanted a Raching humidor for a very long time and it was a dream of mine to be able to own one. After months of research I finally ordered one hoping to make this dream come true.
This dream turned into a 100 percent nightmare and it took almost 2 full months for me to get my money back from them. They were refusing to give my full purchase price back to me.
I finally had to file a dispute with my CC company to get it resolved. With the amount of damages and defects on it, the company should have been jumping through hoops just to get it cleared up versus the pure misery that they put me through. Some of my very close friends have also seen this damage and the defects in person and were absolutely shocked by it and how the sales rep and Raching handled this.
I would not wish this experience on anyone else and I would advise if you decide to go with this brand, then buy form a reputable dealer versus trying to go through a factory sales rep that only wants to push products.
